Switch Pro Controllers have absolutely terrible input lag.

So here's the problem: My Switch Pro controller has input lag in the seconds when I try and use it over bluetooth while Steam is running. If Steam isn't running, and I test the response in the game controller settings window, no problems. Wired + Steam also has no input lag. The moment I connect my controller while Steam is running, it becomes nigh unusable. Any help?
