Monster Hunter World Bow Dance Dodging
Hey weird question but does anyone know if there is way to temporarily disable gyro with a button press, there's a mechanic in monster hunter world called dodge dancing where after a dodge with a bow you can immediately fire at the same spot you fired before as long as you don't move the reticle. This essentially allows you to "dance" around the monsters attacks and keeping up your dps. The problem is that with gyro enabled the simple act of pressing a button slightly moves the reticle making this impossible and endgame monster's attack and move VERY quickly meaning there's not much time to reacquire the target before they molly whop you lol. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to disable it after pressing the a button temporarily. Sorry for the long post and grammar Im sure it might be possible maybe even with third party applications but my brain is to unga bunga to understand. tldr I want to know if its possible to disable gyro control after pressing the A button temporarily and have it auto re-enable soon after thanks in adavance

You could just make it so the gyro is enabled on touching the right pad* only. That way it doesn't move all the time. Unless you somehow need to be pressing the button you assigned to clicking in the right pad this should work for your needs.

*Or left pad if that is what you are using to aim.

You can change the gyro enable button to be a disable button in the menus. It's in the lower left corner of first page of gyro settings IIRC.

Oh if you want it to be time based you can totally do that as well...
Create an action set layer then bind applying the layer to the button. In the layer un-bind the gyro and go to the button and put removing the layer on a release activator with a fire delay.

You will probably have to google search the individual terms or watch some Existential Egg youtube videos.

Going off the fire delay idea, does anyone know if it's possible to have a faster dodge roll, or in more technical terms, a shorter cooldown on the roll? If the answer is no, it's possible to do this, just experiment with the delay to see what feels most responsive.

You can bind joystick directions or trigger pulls that are instant but I would guess the game is implementing a cooldown in the logic that has some minimum cooldown you can't exceed
