Minecraft Windows 10 Edition can the SC work with it?
Minecraft Windows 10 Edition current version, can the SC work with it short of constantly swapping desktop layout?

I have searched the forum but most apply to older versions.

Unfortunately no, not easily. UWP is a real issue with how M$ locked down their platform. You can add an action set to your desktop config to handle that if you like. I would recommend making the action set switch button be something you use not so often and have it a long press. For example, I actually used select with a long press to switch action sets so I could use my SC as a Netflix and Crunchyroll remote, both of which are the only UWP apps installed on my PC. This approach works well enough if you are using that app often. This is also part of the reason I don't buy games on the Windows store, never have, never will. Valve really should come up with a fix for this but then again, we don't want to encourage M$ to keep doing these kinds of things by encouraging too many people to buy into their nonsense. :steamfacepalm:

There are third party apps you can use to make it work but they are not always a proper solution because they can add other compatibility issues the SC would not have had without them. Namely, I am referring to GloSC and Xoutput. I will not be linking to them because I feel that if you are willing to deal with any possible issues and incompatibilities that the effort of a google search should act as the 'first gatekeeper' so to speak. They will both "work" but may need to be uninstalled in order to fix otherwise fully working games in your Steam library or other storefronts.

I wish there was a clear "yes, this is how you do it" sort of answer here for you but sadly, it's just not quite that simple. :steamsad: Then again, the first method does work and with those action sets, it makes it rather painless to switch back and forth on a whim.

Anyways, good luck and happy gaming!

There is a tool for this. Use GloSC[github.com] to achieve this. ;)

You didn't finish reading, there are reasons why you shouldn't use it and should be well aware that if you do so, you do so at your own risk and you WILL have problems with many games. It is clearly not a proper solution and I also mentioned that by name including my warning. No need to show me that you can use GloSC, I already said it. :steamfacepalm:

Cheers, I did not think to use the action set, sounds close to ideal, I looked up a lot of alternatives and as you said they all seem to have issues or unwanted consequences.

I dug out my old Nostromo N45 it works in Windows 10 with the programming software and all much to my surprise, BUT I can not use a joystick mouse it was the reason I was never comfortable with a controller until the SC.

If Valve ever announce dropping the SC I will have to stock pile a few :)

I'm up to five so I totally get it. :D

Glad I could be helpful in some way, if you need anything else, don't hesitate to just ask.

Sorry for intrusion, I'm curious, does it works with desktop config as KB&M or nah?

As per cammelspit's suggestion I have Minecraft working as an action set, so I long press one button to switch to and from it an desktop mode.

Yes it works as keyboard mouse in both action sets but just switches the keys around.

If you mean does the SC work as K/M in desktop mode normally yes it does.
