I don't have first hand experience with any of these, but aside from subjective ergonomic and aesthetic differences (i.e. symmetric vs asymmetric stick placement)
DS4
Pros:
- Touchpad can be configured through Steam Input
- Usually available for cheaper than MSRP
Cons:
- Battery life
Switch Pro
Pros:
- sorry, I got nothing. It's not bad. It just doesn't have any stand-out features for PC gaming.
Cons:
- Highest cost of the three
- No analog triggers
8Bitdo SN30 Pro+
Pros:
- Replaceable battery pack, can also use AAs
- Has it's own configuration software that can remap buttons, even for console use
- Excellent D-pad
Cons:
- Needed a firmware update to get Switch mode working while connected to PC via a wire, may still have other issues.
- Some people have reported trouble connecting via Bluetooth while in Switch mode. I'm not sure if this is user error or not. (I have an older NES30 Pro, which I can easily connect in Switch mode, but it doesn't have a gyro.)
I don't know how rumble support/quality compares between the three. Nor do I know which has the best motion sensing.

it seems that steam imput supports other versions of ds4 and switch, which increases the number of options of choose.
I did some research and found that sony has released ds4 with 2 paddles placed behind the controller as in the steam controller to be used as extra buttons for ds4 which makes the controller even more interesting, , in ds5 alpha it looks the touch pad will be bigger and they will put a microphone in it. i'm coming to the conclusion that it is better to stick with a standard ds4 because it seems that ds4 made by third parties has removed things like touch pad and gyro which makes me sad because some models really had a lot of similarities with sc and more extra buttons to map out that the own ds4 standard and sc.
