Steam Controller

Steam Controller

Pro controller wont connect/isnt detected
So when i first plugged in my pro controller, there was no response. Not even windows made a sound. So i downloaded the proconxinput drivers and it became detected by steam as a 360, but there was massive imput delay which made it unplayable. The blue light on the controller also never lit up if that matters. So i uninstalled the procon drivers and now it makes a sound in windows when u plug it in, but there is still no blue light and steam wont detect it. I am out of ideas and googling it is giving me no results. All help is appreciated.

Hi, it's possible that you've inadvertently installed an input device blocker called HidGuardian that some controller software automatically installs. Basically it lets devices connect to your computer so that Windows and certain programs can see them but blocks them from others, including Steam.

Try following the steps in this issue thread if possible, if you do have HidGuardian installed it should help you clear the controllers from it:
