And if the game doesn't recognize this, it happens because this sends all the commands simultaniously, then use activators to program hold and delay between inputs. But you probably won't have to do that, the multi button should work.
And if the keyboard is crashing your overlay or something, opt into steam beta, or if you're in beta, opt out, that sound like a bug. Because if the config is not switching back to game config, this means the overlay no longer works and SC switched to desktop config instead.
Use whatever button makes most sense, you can even use an existing button and add a long press activator to activate a second binding.
I'm telling you to - if you need to use a multi button shortcut in game - then use the multi button feature in the configurator, just enable it, select what keyboard binding combination you need, then save it to a button. If all buttons are already in use, then make a long press activator so that combination will activate when you hold a button with an existing binding on it.
Trust me, you literally cannot have all the buttons in use, you can bind 12 or more bindings on only 4 ABXY buttons, not to mention action layers and action sets so i doubt you don't have room for more.
Ok here, step by step:
1. Choose a button you want. (let's say for example the "X" Button)
2. A keyboard with buttons opens.
3. At the keyboard screen press the < (select button) - show activators
4. Press "add activator" - this will add a second binding to your "X" button, in addition to what is already bout do "X"
5. Under activation type select "long press"
6. In the box below under "binding" press A to enter the keyboard screen again.
7. Press "Y" to toggle multi-button mode
8. Select the buttons you want, ctrl+shift+F6 i presume
Congrats, now you added an activator to your existing button. You can press "X" once for whatever you use X for, or you can hold "X" to activate the second binding.
You can also add double press for yet another binding, so you can have 3 or more bindings on 1 button. And this works for most buttons.
I want this in reverse I want 2 controller buttons to active 1 keyboard key
