Madden 19 and getting the steam controller to work with it.

I was able to finally get my steam controller to work just like an xbox 1 controller to work with madden 19. Took a few steps but am willing to share with anyone interested. I'd like to be able to export my current settings to share but honestly dont know how. I think this could help alot of people that were as frustrated as me if someone could give me a hand.

It does take a few extra steps though.

if you want to share your config here, click on browse configs (X button). highlight your config and click on share configuration (start button). this will copy a link to the clipboard. then come back here, right click and paste the link in a message board post.

Im so lost on doing that. I shared one to the community sharing for steam controller. I said Madden first try, use at your own risk. I reimported it and tried the game. Seems fine. Just odd that looking at the controls on the config screen dont look right.

FOR THIS TO WORK YOU MUST DO THIS THOUGH.

1.go to games in your steam list at the top of the screen.

2. Add non steam game.

3. Let the list populate and select origin.

4. You will then have an icon in your steam games for "origin". Right click on and go to properties. Change origin to madden.

5.CLOSE ORIGIN. KILL IN TASK MANAGER IF NEEDED. It cannot be runing for the next step.

6. Upload my config file, (still trying to get help on uplaoding my config file, look at the last post for the name I uploaded as) still not sure if it will work universally but it works for me and I uploaded it myself and over wrote. It doesnt look correct but when I tried it it worked. Still asking for help in that department.

From this point forward you should be good but you must follow these steps.

YOU MUST OPEN ORIGIN THROUGH STEAM FROM THE SHORTCUT WE MADE EARLIER. YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO PLAY. ORIGIN MUST BE CLOSED COMPLETELY BEFORE OPENING THROUGH STEAM.

YOU MOST LIKELY WILL STILL NEED TO USE A MOUSE TO CLICK ON THE MADDEN 19 ICON IN ORIGIN AND THEN THE "PLAY" BUTTON.

once in game though your steam controller I am hoping works like mine exactly like a xbox 1 controller.

If I screwed up on it I will make a new config for the controller from scratch now that I know how to do it. I just need help exporting it. I'm new at this. Let me know though.

I've tried doing these steps but i can't get it to work properly.. Whenever Madden starts, it turns back to keyboard + mouse..
All I can do with the controller is using the right pad (mouse) and the B button..

if you uploaded my export file it may be wrong. It didnt look right to me but thats why I asked people to help.

Basically all you have to do is set you configuration for an Xbox1 configuration which is one of the defaults and then change the touch pad to be as mouse controlled.

The xbox 1 configuration is one of the main ones you can import, you have to select show for other devices or something.

Sorry ive had my controller for over a year and this is the first time using it as this is the only game ive ever needed a controller for and its not even a steam game. If I get time I'll try to give better instructions on how to get the proper imported configuration.

Anyone able to figure out how to juke??? I was able to do one once,, but with the right touch pad its virtually impossible.

Any tips would be appreciated
