How long does Steam typically take to ship hardware?

Normally when you buy something online you're given an ETA, but in this case I wasn't given much to go on.

Go to the store page, it's right there. Be aware that sales and such can slow it down if you don't jump on them quickly. They have even run out entirely of stock before.

"Estimated Delivery: 4-8 Business Days
Delivery delays are expected due to high order volume"

two weeks is generally normal but on the outside of the normal range. They do them in the order in which they were received so the early birds certainly get the worms. Good luck with that! YES! You get an email soon as it hits the shipping carrier. From there, it's usually about 3-4 days till you get it.

it's been 4 days since i bought mine and they still havent even sent the email that it's been shipped :(

This is normal when there is a sale, I know it's hard but patience is key here. You will get it, just not Amazon fast.

yeah i know. it just kinda annoys me that i pay that much for shipping only for the whole process to take over a week

What do you mean on time? They state precisely what the time frame is. It's not like there is a contract for delivery by a certain date. If you have ever ordered anything from somewhere that isn't Amazon and maybe Newegg, you would know what normal shipping is like.

you'll get an e mail ..and mine was here the next day .. shipped fed ex

If you get in on the sale pretty quick yeah, they are pretty fast most of the time. They pack a certain number of packages a day and as a sale goes on they get so many more orders, more than they pack in a day. So as the sale goes on, the wait will continue to increase. This happens every time though so it's not news or anything. :)
