how to activate the gyroscope

Goto Steam Desktop Client...
Goto Your Game you want in your Library view(Of your games)...
Right Click the game you want...
Right Click Steam Controller Configuration...
If you see the config page for your game..
Goto your "atom" symbol under the Steam Controller picture...
Then from here set up your gyroscope...

I f you need help from the cumminity oters will eventually chip in and help...
So ask and some will!!

Sry, i have to ask: why not check for a youtube video first? Video guides are perfect for these things, you see all the options, the uploader explains what each thing does.

Anyway
1)go to controller config
2) select the option that looks like an image of an atom, between the controller image and the 4 rows below it, as seen here: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/lt1Ag_36lLc/maxresdefault.jpg
3)Select style of input.. usually mouse.
4) "Gyro enable button" - when you touch or hold whatever is selected here = gyro is on, and you should get mouse movement.

Other options are to tune it to your liking.

Optional, if you expect different behavior from the gyro:
**5**) go to advanced > "Gyro steering axis", try out both roll and yaw, see which you prefer. Yaw is default i think.
