'The parcel has left the GLS location' stuck for 6 days

I ordered the controller/link bundle a few days before Christmas and it shipped 6 days ago. Has anybody been in a similar situation before/now with the GLS courier where the tracking has not updated? I know that obviously Monday was New Years which could delay it but has anybody has a similar experience, or had no updates to tracking?

I'm in the UK, also got a parcelforce tracker but it just has one entry, saying parcel is with GLS. I'm so impatient, can't wait to use this mofo.

+1 here. The package has exit the central Germany GLS hub on 29 of december and there is no additional status about it. It's on the move for 4 days now.

Me too. The last entry on the GLS tracking service is that my package left the GLS-site in Utrecht (NL) on friday the 29th. I already spoke to their support and the say: "we expect another status message soon". I'm planning to consult the Steamsupport if there is nothing new by Wednesday.

Mine hasn't even got that far yet, it's just as follows:
28/12/17 14:00 The parcel has left the GLS location Netherlands
28/12/17 14:00 The parcel was handed over to GLS Netherlands
28/12/17 13:24 The parcel data was entered into the GLS; the parcel was not yet handed over to GLS Netherlands

Let me know how you guys get on, I'm hoping that they just take a long time to update and it's closer than I think.

You guys realise that GLS doesn't drive out on weekends, let alone holidays like the first of the year, right?

I know that they don't work on holidays like Monday. But that they don't work on Saturday is new to me, because in Germany DHL works on Saturday, too.

If they doesn't do it then why the physically took their parcels? GLS messages show that our packages are 'on the move'. I can't imagine that somebody loaded his truck, drove to X city, and then left his trailer for 4 days without checking in in any GLS hubs?

Also most carriers operate the logistics side of their operation 7 days a week except holidays but don't deliver weekends and holidays. It just seems to be hit and miss, my friend's order shipped exactly the same time as mine 13:24 - 14:00 and he got updates the whole way, plus it came today. Lucky sod.

Update! It’s moved!! Parcelforce in the UK have now picked it up and usually it’s pretty quick from there unless it mysteriously disappears. I’m a drama queen.

My parcel is already in the delivery truck, when it reached Germany it all went pretty fast.
