Right stick sensitivity help
My old controller (GAMESIR G3s) finally decided to fall apart, so I decided to buy the steam controller. I play DC Universe Online, where the right stick comes in handy for alot of movement. My characters have flight ability. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, I can't raise the sensitivity to save my behind. The in-game sensitivity is set to max, and still the right stick is freaking slow. As a flyer, I have to make sharp turns in mid-air, yet no matter how high the sensitivity is, I make these turns like a truck driver. I also have the option to spin my character at the Character Select screen. But my character spins like it's stuck in a oil spill, when it should be spinning as if it was on a race track. I tried binding the pad to mouse camera, but that didn't work, either. Binding it to mouse actually worked, but that method removes the functionality of the right stick completely, and I'm trying to keep the right stick I love the idea of having trackpads but i need a right stick... otherwise I wouldn't mind keeping it set to mouse.

Question here is: How do I raise the sensitivity so it's 3x faster than it is?? TBH I can go with 5x. That way I can lower the in-game sensitivity to my liking. But it needs to be at least 3x faster so I can actually make these sharp turns quickly. :steamfacepalm:

Adjust the anti deadzone and response curve of the analog emulation if you're using that. Setting the reaponse curve to aggressive will make less gradual input.

...and deeadzone, as well, to have more surface with max turning speed. :]

I think I'm blind because i don't see the Deadzone slider. i see the anti Deadzone, though

Same page but on the left side? Everything outside deadzone will be registered as 100% stick lean I believe. Don't touch inner deadzone if you are using anti-deadzone that placed there to remove one. It won't make sense then ;)

The way i have my controller setup, the Deadzone option isn't there. My controller is setup so by default the right trackpad is used as the action buttons and when i toggle the left grip it switches to the right stick. Because of this, the option is gone.

It looks like if i want to see these options i have to reset the configuration and use the trackpad as the right stick first??

It's in the advanced settings i think, i haben't used it in a while, i usually adjust the response curve of the analog emulation and it works fine.

But i wouldn't know what to tell you how to set it up, just mess with the sliders to an extreme degree (far left or far right), apply it then close the overlay and see how it behaves. Then do it again but less aggresively and see what happens. Then you should have an idea how the game reads the analog.

i raised the ADZ and that didn't work... but it did make my pad touchy as hell. i couldn't rest my thumb at all without the camera moving lol. there have been a few changes over the past week.

You want to say that you're using Joystick Camera instead of Joystick Move, right?

that's correct. It's crazy because it does act like the right stick, it's just kinda slow. I even have the in game sensitivity maxed and still can't get it to speed up.

I have the right trackpad assigned to the action buttons (only reason for this is because i can't reach the action buttons) and with that i added a mode shift to the left grip that toggles between the action buttons and the right stick (Joystick Camera). Everything works, except for how slow the Joystick is. I mean it's workable, but it's just slow.

EDIT: Well, it turns out that the in game sensitivity wasn't going to work anyway because that's for mouse, not analog stick. I got the 2 confused because of how similar every stinking menu item is when compared to the ps3. smh

Well, I haven't used Joycamera yet (no need). I don't know how it behave TBH. Why don't you try another input method?

I have. Mouse was the only one that worked but then i lose the joystick functionality of it. I would have to keep swiping the trackpad to keep the camera rotating, as opposed to joystick where it just keeps going and going and going.........

You can toggle your stuff by Action Sets switch btw ;)

Im working on that too :-) So far the Joystick seems to be working just right but it depends on what im doing. With that i do need to learn action sets and layers. I'm sure this will be freaking useful when i have my character(s) flying around in metro or gotham.

If you want the continuos movement similar to a joystick you could try edgespin in the advanced options.
I use it to have a combo betweeen the mouse (or mouselike joystick if you prefer) and the constant movement on the outer radius of the trackpad.

Just activate edgespin and set the outer radius and speed as you like.
