Steam controller mapping for desktop use?

Hey so ive had the controller for a while now and i know all the basics n stuff, but i was wondering if there is any way to map out the controller buttons to keyboard keys for when u are using ur desktop? yanno basically how u can configure the controls in game but just for when u use non game or steam software on ur desktop because annoyingly ive noticed that not all buttons on the steam controller are native to keys on a keyboard (only like the triggers and letter keys)

Yes, go to big picture mode, controller settings and there you'll see somewhere desktop configuration, bpm configuration and chord configuration. You can change all of them to your liking.

They will be active as long as steam is running. If you close steam the controller defaults to "lizard mode" with predefined keys that you can't change.
