Game Won't Detect PS4 Controller
Self explanitory, it's incredibly wonky to play the game with keyboard/mouse (believe me I've tried even in the first two) and even if I have the controller plugged in it won't work.
So...help?

Why are you playing a PS vita/PC game on PS4?

Dumb question, but are you using a DS4 mapping tool? And did you switch to your gamepad in the options menu?

DS4 Mapping Tool? And it doesn't give me an option to switch to a game pad.
With 1 and 2 it detected PS3 controller just fine with no aid.
For some reason it detects button imput from PS4 controller but doesn't give me the option to switch to game pad.
I can play other steam games (Even Indivisible prototype ) with PS4 game pad just fine.
Just R3 decides to be finnicky for some reason. :/

No playstation controllers are compatible with windows natively, you must use external software... any time it's accepted is because that game allows specifically for it. you must use an XInput controller like the logitech f510 or any xbox controller Windows is made by microsoft, they have no intention of supporting sony peripherals

Like Plutia says, you need external software, called a mapper or mapping tool, for your OS to regognize the inputs. Exceptions always exist but are rare. The most used one seems to be Input Mapper[inputmapper.com], but it's not like I ever used a Dual Shock controlller for PC.
A short google search for "PS4 controller windows" or anything like that would have solved your issues in seconds though. Try looking for info next time before asking.

Aw boo hoo, Sony's controller is better than theirs, so they don't want to support it? Didn't know big bad Microsoft could get that butthurt over the console wars.

No it's more like Sony doesn't write proper drivers for windows.

Lol no.

And as Harag says, it's Sony's fault anyway. It's always Sony's fault.

Dual Shock controllers work for neither for windows, nor for Linux, OS X or any other Unix based system. So guess who's at fault here if only the PS4 OS can register them natively.

For me, the game DOES recognize the dualshock4. The dualshock4 is called "Wireless Controller" over both bluetooth and usb, but the button and axis mapping is weird, and when connected via Bluetooth, the inputs don't actually work.

The dualshock4 works better with the program "ds4windows" -- it maps the controller as an xbox 360 controller, and works via both Bluetooth and USB. It even makes the touchpad work for cursor control!
Note: you have to start ds4windows before starting the game; if you start the game first, it won't see the 360 controller, and will switch back to keyboard.

Of course it will see it. Even the Dual Schock 3 can bee seen in windows since the controller can tell the OS what it is. It doesn't mean it has a driver though it just means windows see the controller and knows what it is.

Personally I recommend the SCP drivers. It worked for me under windoes 8.1 and it works under windows 10. The only downside is that you will see Xbox buttons but thats fixable.
Ok Guys - I played RB3 with my DS4 Controller (DSçWindows - Mapping tool) just fine. Then i installed WIndows 10 and now RB3 doesnt recognize the DS4 anymore. 0.0 Works fine on all the other games though....

Well... I don't know whatmigth be your problem. My DualSchock 3 works fine with the SCP (Scarlet Crush Productions)drivers and those are supposed to be good for the DS 4 as well.
If nobody can solve your problem at the very least you can try it out.
I hope you will find a solution though.

Plug in the controller, should come up as wireless controller. Launch nepnep. Go to config and under remap you can change what each button does (default [] is ok) Won't show up as a gamepad, but you can use it just fine

Default windows drivers for directinput
