Any Fix for the "old version of PhysX driver" crash?

I bought the game on sale, i really should stop buying games on steam as a great many do not run anymore but i get stupid when i see a sale.

Game installs fine, but when i launch it i select play from the start screen and i get the above mentioned error. I tryed starting the game from the .exe in the folder but that does not even give me a start screen.

I tried installing the physX from the root folder but get a "you already have a newer version" message and it will not let me do anything after that.

Any ideas on a reach around for this game?

than you dont uninstall it yet, use program like Your Uninstaller! PRO to kill it and clean registry

Yeah man - same here. It's just one POS after another. I wish games would just 'go' on computer like they do on the consoles.

you guys having probs with the Physx can simply just install an older version like PhysX-9.12.1031-SystemSoftware-Legacy. works for me no probs what so ever a few CTD's here and there but thats from the game it self though

I'm not sure whatever I had to do but I got it working and I enjoy the game. I just wish it had co op..

Same, quite sad because this game could have been much better if the devs hadn't just limited it to one crummy campaign :(

I finaly got mine working as well, i hunting for the physx legacy driver, installed and i was good

Copy the missing legacy files from the old driver into the nividia folder saves you keep reinstalling physx drivers if you back up the files wont need the lagacy file again

Usually these problems from around 2007-8 are fixed by this legacy Physx driver:

As Bazaa said, the legacy driver instal fixed it right up. Search for PhysX Legacy driver, and it will tell you all about 2007ish games that like to error hard.
