zero experience with coding -- is there any sort of tutorial in game that would teach me the basics, or do i need an already existing entry level knowledge of coding

I'm a bit confused, if this is a puzzle where we need to find the password clue somewhere, or if we're supposed to do a loop brute force code. I passed the level with a brute force code, but I'm wondering if I missed something. Usually this type of games give tutorials on how to learn coding, and it didn't teach how to do loops yet....

I have no idea how it expects me to beat a 'the floor tiles are one-use-only and they all fell away when you came over here' puzzle, there's nothing in-game to indicate how I'm meant to get back across and the sign mentioning 'perfect memory' is entirely unhelpful. I don't generally enjoy "gimmick/gotcha!" puzzles; I was enjoying poking at the JavaScript and solving things but this one isn't a programming challenge it's the worst of the old "use toothpick on alien monsters left eyeball" text adventure puz...

Having bytes be a high score metric means I'm encouraged to make horrible code. Every character, space, and new line is removed. Personally, it doesn't feel like a fun objective to try and meet.
