Is it worth it
I stopped after about 10 hours, should I go back to it or not. If not, what would people recommend for a similar but better experience?

I love this game, finished it twice already.

But the truth is: if you played because you were not having fun, then don't force yourself. Just go play something else.

No one should ever force themselves to play something they ain't feeling. That said games a masterpiece and 5$ on sell, 9gbs, best price and size you're gonna get on a jrpg. Makes a great gift.

yeah but getting TZFix up & running feels mandatory.
doing my 1st play through now & locked 24FPS is awful

I have not noticed anything like that, moves fluid for me, not turning on fps counter or anything so I don't know how fluid. But it plays and looks good, so don't really bug me.

I've seen worse chuggers on steam, some that are even older than this.
you have no choice, every new game is trash. there is literally no other way forward than going backwards in gaming history and experiencing old treasures.

I came a bit late but here it goes.

Honestly that's up to you to decide, if it didn't hook you up after 10 hours it's probably best to move on. I'm not gonna say it's a masterpiece and I find a lot of room for improvement, but I consider it a good game, that said, just because (I think) it's good doesn't mean it's for everyone. In the same line, something apparently many people fail to see, is that "I don't like the game" doesn't automatically mean "this game is trash".

My advice, don't let other people mislead you with their big verbose explanations, either appraising or criticizing any game. Of course you can inform yourself and read about it, but don't let it have too much weight on your decision, and completely disregard posts from people that use absolute terms such as "must play" or "don't waste your money". I mean, there are demos and returning periods, right? Whatever the game, give it a try and see for yourself.

As a side note, I played this with a pretty average computer and a lousy graphic card 10 years ago and neither back then or now I needed any fix. I'm sure sometimes it's justified, but for years I've seen how people seem to complain about FPS in games out of sport or something.

Well after playing tons of jrpgs since psx, including the original tales, destiny and phantasia, this is probably my fav one after 600 hours.

I think maybe people make judgments to fast on rpgs, because the whole point of rpgs is to build up. If you only played 2 hours of this, all you'd see is an anime buddy stroll. You will not see the many additional characters, or the advanced gameplay mechanics. That's what rpgs are suppose to do.
I need help with salamander, AI get 1 shotted all the time, can't deal much damage with bubbles and water. help. I'm like level 23
