How much Playtime and other modes??

I was wondering how much playtime would be in this game and will be other modes like a hard mode where the game will be the same story only mobs will be stronger??

Tales of series are plenty of secondary misions and histories, in my opinion similar to old Final Fantasy games , there are different battle difficulties like 4 or maybe even 5 if I remember well, you can change it whenever you want.

and you have nightmare mode after completing game once + new game+ option.
You can buy certain things from grade shop after game ends. Grade awarded for finishing combat with style: big combos, zero hp lost ant etc.
You can carry over recipes for food, increase item limit, xp gain or some uniq to each game stuff.
So you have reasons to play at least one more time.
