Rose & Zaveid...how convenient...[spoilers!]

So I fought Rose and Zaveid on the bridge and they were pretty hardcore to fight against...(had to tone down the difficulty just for this stupid fight). I find it convenient tha the game decides to make them so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to fight against but when you have them as your allies they can't do ♥♥♥♥ other than get hit and killed so easily...

I obliterated Rose in less than 30 secs before she could even hit me and I was surprised at just how much Grade I got from it (over 50). Apparently she was meant to be a challenging boss fight?

Zaveid's 2nd fight was a lil' bit more challenging, but only slightly. If you have trouble against those chumps, you're gonna have a helluva tough time later on.

We talking the same fight? This is where Rose and Zaveid are together and it 's kinda of a sidequest fight you get late in the game where you fight on ladylake bridge (something aout rose wanting to seek strength and whatno). No boss was this stupid challenging compared to these two and it just pisses me off since they were so synced together on landing hits. However they can't do that against boss so I always end up putting them on defense mode while I chip away

Huh, I've done all the sidequests and I've never had this fight. How do you trigger it, a skit or something?

The only JRPG that I know of where "story prowess" is the same in actual combat is the Growlanser series. Sometimes they are your own characters you get, sometimes guest characters, sometimes allies in battle, other times enemies. Its great because a total bad ass shows up in a fight that is like level 40 or 60+ and your sub 10. Even if it is an enemy these fights are actually balanced and doable with some effort which makes it even more amazing.

Talk to Rose and there's this one quote that says "Remember how we first met?" or something like that and then she tells you about meeting at ladylake and if you want to visit the place (Ladylake bridge). Warp there and there's a cutscene and after that you fight against Rose & Zaveid. (This is all before going into Calamn village). THey are so synched that it's pretty hard to even try to land a hit since Rose is quick on her feet and can stagger ya.

Also, I suggest you take her equipment off before that, maybe you'll have better time fighting them together.

be sure to be ready for the fight. Not sure if taking their equipments off help make the fight easier, but either way....have fun, lol

Yeah this fight was unexpectedly hard. Even if you drop the difficulty down to simple they can still stunlock you - might be good to have Preventi on your gear to avoid that....

Eventually I got pissed off; fire armatized and spammed seraphic arts; fire wall & ancient nova carpet bombing.

As for the biased AI for party vs enemy; I feel you.
"Prioritise defence!!!" = stand in a slow moving boss's 1 hit KO attack and die a stupid death.
Just wait till you go against Phoenix. You're better to go into party config and put everyone to "run like a ♥♥♥♥♥" because the defence command isnt enough to make them sidestep.
Can anyone beat my record of 35 deaths for that fight?

Yeah, it pissed me off when I saw how they were able to get all over you and when you want them to do that to a boss...all they do is walk around hit a few times, get hit...cast heals...walk around and try to cast arte...just to get interrupted, lol... /facepalm

If they are able to open me a new one, they should be able to do it as well on a boss...jeezus!
