Whats better? Tales of Eternia on ps1 best JRPG or Tales of Zestiria.

Tales Of Eternia best J-Rpg? I don't think so.... For me it's the worst Tales game i've ever done...... No charismatic characters, story boring (even for a tales) okay the gameplay is good but this not enough to make a good game for me....

As you might expect from my username, I would personally say Tales of Eternia.

I love the story and characters and to me it is up with Tales of Symphonia. It's hard to choose between Tales of Eternia and Tales of Symphonia for my favourite Tales game.

Tales of Zestiria is a bit like Tales of Vesperia in a way. I think that Tales of Vesperia has a better cast, but the plot does feel slightly rushed at the end. And in both Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Zestiria there are villains that could have quite a bit more characterization to them.

My fav one is Tales of Legendia... I've yet to pick up Zestiria, waiting for a little discount!

Check out Growlanser series for PS2/PSP if you want a great JRPG. Few seem to know about it but definitely my favorite game series. Recomend starting with Growlanser III (PS2) or Wayfer of Time (PSP version).

Totally different gameplay styles so dunno if the OP would be interested in Growlanser but for what it's worth Growlanser II/III are great. Wayfarer of Time isn't bad either.

You can't actually compare much with a old game and this new game. A 3D game with a 2D game...

Yeah, just a suggestion for anyone looking at a topic about a good JRPG. Growlanser II was alright, but it felt way to short and lacking. III is definitely my favorite and Wayfer was enjoyable as well. I was suprised I enjoyed Heritage of War as much as I did, too. Really wish I and the last one were translated or more entries would be made.

best jrpg is up to each person to choose my personal list of best jrpg in order would be Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire III, Tales of Symphonia then Tales of Phantasia tied with Breath of Fire II.
