[ CONTAIN SPOILER ] Need help on story about Windriders, Assassin Guild, Dezel's friend and Dezel's misfortune blessing..
I just reached Pendrago's night scene, fighting Lunarre and some illusions. And a female enemy talked about it was Dezel's fault that caused his friend's death, I don't understand about this. And about Dezel's blessing is misfortune towards the assassins guild? And is it Windriders the assassin guild today? I'm kind of confuse on everything. Can someone explain the story from head to tail about Windriders, Assassin Guild, Dezel's friend and Dezel's misfortune blessing? Thank you.

Alright, this is what I understand all that to be about:
The Windriders were a group of mercenaries under the leadership of Brad, the guy who adopted Rose and the other war-orphans.
Dezel and his buddy with the big cheekbones traveled around with the Windriders and helped out for lack of something better to do, I guess, but loved it.
Symonne's whole schtick is causing other people to do horrible things or believe falsehoods so they will become hellions.
The Windriders hit the jackpot doing a job for Prince Konan in Pendrago, and are offered a full time job as part of his army. Rose is arranged to be married to the Prince to seal the deal. Dezel is disappointed that the adventures will come to an end and wishes that they could keep going. The Prince shows up as a hellion and tries to kill Rose (Brad is killed offscreen) and Cheekbones sacrifices himself to save Rose. Symonne tells Dezel that he is an angel of death and that his blessing cursed the Windriders with misfortune; essentially that he is the cause of all the suffering of those he cared about. The remaining Windriders flee and go on to become the Sparrowfeathers/Scattered Bones guild, Dezel snaps and blocks out the memories of the event, instead focusing on keeping the guild together by overriding Rose's will and using her body to do whatever he had to to keep them together. Dezel finally gets his memories back during this event, which is the flashback we see.

I googled some of the details on this to fact check and it seems like most people believed what Symonne said about all that angel of death stuff - I didn't get that at all! It seemed to me that Symonne was lying to Dezel to get him to Hellionize because that is her job under Heldalf. Hell, the reason she attacked the party in Pendrago was to take Rose and turn her into a shepard-strength hellion. The whole angel of death stuff falls apart when you consider that Dezel didn't bring any misfortune before or after this point in the story; Rose said she enjoyed the extra time he gave to the Windrider/Sparrowfeather/Scattered Bones crew. How does he not generate any malevolence when the only thing driving his is revenge? He believes in himself and is totally in the right.

Ark, thanks for your explanation but i think i'm not too good to understand the whole of it. But anyway some parts of the story became clear in my head after your explanation. How to relate that Dezel not wishing their journey ends is the cause of misfortune / suffers to the party he cared?
And anyway, how did Dezel undo that sub-lord thing from Lailah? The game didn't explain @@
And even Lailah was shocked..

I didn't get the Lunarre part much, instead - I mean, he's a hellion, but iirc he was a former member of the Scattered Bones, ok... but during that cutscene mentioned above, that prince seemed to actually be Lunarre, same exact fox-face, so I thought "aha! so that's Lunarre true form!". But was he? Or just a weird coincidence?
Because if he is, then it doesn't make any sense - why should he be among the Scattered Bones in the first place? And when Rose meets him in Pendrago, she said like "So that's how Lunarre looks like, as a hellion", which means she'd always seen just his human form (like in early game, when he's taken away), but would've definitely recognized him as prince Konan.
So, who was Lunarre actually? Just a random assassin that got hellioned because of reasons?

Wow.. Now that you relate fox-face to Prince Konan.. The story is so complex to me now.. I don't know.. Yea I know Tales of series always have complicated story but not as hard to understand as this one, at least for me.. X.X ( die fish face )
