[Ending Spoilers] Well I finished it, not sure how to feel.
What do you guys think about the ending? Rose dies in the epilouge years later but all the seraph are pretty much the same. In the second epilouge mikleo is older, which makes me think at least centuries have gone by. What are your thoughts on the ending? The alisha dlc hints at a sequel...but her and rose would definitly be dead by the time Sorey comes back, so I think we'd be better off without a sequel.

I guess that depends on how attached you were to the human girl characters. I didn't grow to fond of them. So I say let their be a sequel!

Oh neither was I, the reason I said Id prefer not to have one is because it would probaly be about them lol.
I say that this seems like a really bad descision in story-terms.

Just my own opinion. I'll still try to finish, but ending with a rather sad ending on what's supposed to be the GOOD ending is really dumb.

I dunno. I really liked the characters and all, but the way everything is stringed together is like when I was watching Glasslip - I have completely no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea what's going on. I guess it's nice that at least he lived to see his friends again, or something.

I don't think their will actually be a sequel, but I felt the opposite. Sure sorey sacrificed himself...or at least was willing to go into a coma like state for many years to purify the malevolence, but he was willing to do whatever it took. That is why he set out in the first place and his comrads seemed okay with it. Plus his BFF Meebo will still be there when he finishes. Seemed like a good ending to me.

The ending is open and kinda happy (the protagonist finds his best undying friend travelling around the world and sees result of his decision to purify the dragon) and theoratically there's room for ToZ2 (with a new shepherd or Rose and less linear), but I'm not sure, if the game needs a sequel.
Several DLC with companions' epilogues would be good, though.

Now, I'm just waiting for Symphonia on PC and a Tales of Zestiria anime which will be aired in Japan next year. :D

I'm waiting for Tales of Berseria! The main character looks SO COOL! XD
Yeah, that too. I can't wait for them to announce the other characters too. I hope there will be a cool and handsome character.

I'm guessing it's a bit like when Symphonia first came out, people could interpret that ending in their own way. I guess in this game you can assume Sorey became a Seraph as it is hinted at by the game when they explain humans can become Seraph. As for Rose and Alisha dying, it's normal for humans to die of old age :P

It's exactly like Tales of the Abyss ending, which made me pretty mad. The whole "the hero """disappears""" for [x] years and then miraculously comes back... OR DOES HE" is such a cheap drama-inducing tactic. It's unclear, it doesn't resolve anything, and fans would argue over it for an eternity because it was the initial goal of writers anyway.

Thing is... ToS both has a sequel and is a prequel itself. So we not only know how things turned out over the next few years but how things turned out centuries down the line. Unless they suddenly claim that ToZ is the prequel to ToA or something (I'm just picking a game at random) then we don't know.

IMO... I don't see why she couldn't have become a seraph and I certainly liked her enough to want it to be the outcome. I just wish they'd have shown either a happy scene (maybe getting married or raising her kids to communicate with the seraphs?) or confirmed she became one.
