playing as sorey mostly
Is playing mainly as Sorey going to screw me over later in the game? All the millions of abilities that the other characters have kinda confuse me :(

You best bet will be Sorey, it is normal. He has many moves to juggle and chain long combos. Together with Rose, Hard mode becomes laughable.

Yeah that is what I figured, lol, thanks :D

I mostly use Sorey too, but it can be useful to switch sometimes to learn a bit how to use the other characters and spot their strong points/weaknesses, mostly because of the crucibles (1-2 characters challenges) but it can also help you to decide how to pick their gear. Also if you aim for achievements one requires you to switch a lot of times.

I can even memorize their favourite speech in battle... binding strike... saint's arrow....burning vortex

I like Sorey too, but sucks that armatization is so disbalanced...
He has cool moves, and I want to use him alone. But even if I focus completely in atk, he takes too much time to kill normal monsters (hard and intense mode, don't now about moderate).

You will have to use other characters only if you want to do the "individual championship" (that actiualy, isn't a championship, just a dungeon with a sequence of monsters).

I like using Sorey and have used him for the entire game. His moves and combos are balanced and it's easy to give him high stat equipment and bonuses. He also has access to every element for his combos, which is nice when you run into resistant enemies and don't want to armatize all the time. The only time you will ever need to change characters is if you want to do the crucibles, which force you to have one character or the other. The crucible where you have to fight as Leilah was the most difficult one in my opinion :\ And it's not difficult to kill enemies with him by himself if you put the right equipment on him.
it'll only screw you if you're planing on getting the micromanager achievement

... the micromanagement achieve is a good training for the crucibles... and the hardest one was the 8. one at the EX dungeon... i sure hate playing as a wind seraph... even his arma sucks^^

After playing with Rose and Alisha for a while (DLC) I realised how badly I miss Sorey... Sorey compared to those 2 is much better and smoother.

100 battles playing as every char (alisha excluded, dezel and... forgot his name Oo count as one char ) not clear though if you can switch around in a single battle to get the count up with multiple chars... i just stayed with 1 char at a time (but ♥♥♥♥ it when a boss is coming up, those are hard enough on chaos, let alone playing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbalanced char^^)

I wouldn't worry too much about it on lower difficulties. On the highest difficulty it might be a good idea to at least have a vague idea of how the other characters work so you aren't left completely open to getting murdered if he gets KO'd and you're left flailing around with no idea how to fight back until he's ress'd. Which can definitely cost you the win quickly against higher level enemies and bosses.

As mentioned if you're going for the achievement or the crucibles it wouldn't be a bad idea either.

But if you're going through just the main plot on anything but the hardest difficulty there should be no reason Sorey won't serve you just fine. Even if he does get ko'd the negatives for being ko'd and the exploitation the AI will make of that is far lower to the point of almost being non-existent.

So basically it depends on if you intend to do everything the game has to offer, or just run through the main plot on normal.
