I take it they're supposed to be hard, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. When you can't even use a single move against enemies, it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Depends on your set up? I just finished the Mikleo one with no issues on moderate. Just combo in and out of dashes mixed with artes. The higher in the combo you cast it, the faster the arte.

Dodging and skills revolving around dodging are very important too.

How to beat crucible with Lailah? Pack of wolves just spam attacks that i even can't start a combo or spell =(

Backstep*3+cast a spell, guard, repeat

Lailah's is the only one that gave me real trouble. I ended up setting the game on simple because the wolves were just too much. I waited some levels, boosted her defense (which was really low at that point) and just proceded to the usual 3 backstep+ball of fire or vortex depending on the distance.
The other ones require just a bit of patience and timing. Generally speaking casters have a harder time, but I didn't have problems on Moderate. Only Lailah was a pain, her attacks are all kinda slow.

I think these could've been a good way to make a player learn how to play with different characters if crucibles could've been introduced in the early game. Creators could've later bring them outside of the game for people that like the challenge.
Sorey's and Mikleo's challenges were pretty easy. Lailah's was excruciatingly hard, and i haven't beat it yet. I also found Rose's challenge long and tiring, also haven't beat it yet.

I had to use a couple gels on Moderate because I was reckless xD Otherwise Rose is easy enough, and if things go bad just use Dream Slasher (the move that makes her jump and throw daggers in an arc before her). You can pretty much spam it and win.

The thing about the wolf wave is that your actually better off if you try to aoe them down their attack pattern changes at lower hp to one where they stand still and use a the howl move it helped me at least to just do the 3x dodge pyro ring think i did the lailah one at around level 22 or so on intense.

No shame in doing it on simple. You just need to clear it for achievment and move on imo.

Yeah, i play on moderate, maybe i need to lower difficulty sometimes ^_^
