How to play in 4K with mobile graphic cards?
I precise that i doesn't have Nvidia DSR because i'm on notebook and i have optimus which switch my two graphics cards from the integrated to the dedicated when i play a game. Nvidia doesn't support this fonctionnality yet (maybe in ten years :p) I have a Nvidia 880M which is a GTX 770 desktop equivalent it is also mentionned as 4k ready on nvidia site, so why the ♥♥♥♥ i can't choose 4k in the graphics game setting? Anyone a idea please? (Already tried gedosato but steam and the game won't launch at all). Thanks by advance guys. My monitor is an ASUS VN248QA max is 1920*1080 (maybe that's why i can't but i don't understand at all because KOF XIII is in 4k).

I think you need an HDMI 1.4 cable attached to your 4k display set as primary, NV Control Panel set to run Tales of Zestiria using your NV card, and your desktop resolution set to appropriate level. Check to see if you're missing these basic requirements.

Thanks for your fast answer, how do you know if your HDMI cable is 1.4? I have one so i've just tried it but it doesn't change a damn thing. Damnit Nvidia this the last time i will ever buy an optimus laptop..... -_-

A cable's packaging tells you if it's 1.4, including other features. If still not sure, check the printing on the length of the cable which tells you the cable's brand, manufacturer , serial, operating temperature, features, etc. Most cables have printing, even less telling you the features you need.

Remember to check the brand/features for HDMI cables when shopping. Nowadays you can get a HDMI 1.4 cable for ~$10US

Thx i think my cable is 1.4 because i bought only 2-3 months ago. But i'm still stuck in 1080.

You said your monitor is an ASUS VN248QA, but that would only support up to 1920x1080. Go shopping!

The game has to recognize your display to graphics card to current resolution all supports 4k. Any attempt to force the game into 4k without universal support would be... ugly...

you need to enable DSR on nvidia control panel for the resolution to show up in the game

Arf thx, but why can i play KOF XIII? It's the same monitor. Did you read what i said? I said that DSR is not "avaible" now for optimus graphic cards if so i wouldn't ask for help....(apparently nivdia is working on it).

well i dunno then , if DSR is not availble for u , u can try gedosato. DSR and Gedosato are the only way to downsample that i know off :O

Already tried that but steam and the game won't launch while gedosato is activated any clues?
