Who do you prefer to play as?

My go to is sorey as i cba to learn anyone else, but i was intressed to know what people here play.

sorey or rose, i dont like to play ranged on tales games, i find them harder to string high hit combos than the melee counterparts

i saw my 1st 200 hit combo today .... so pretty

I have stuck with Sorey in this one, though I preferred playing as the casters in Xillia 1/2 and Vesperia. The casters were incredibly strong in those games (especially Elize, good lord) but they are... not so great in this one.

Rose. In any game with a person who uses two daggers, that's the character I'll play as. It helps that she's also my favorite character personality-wise.

Notably this is the second Tales game ever I didn't main the main character. and the first time it was done for a positive reason instead of "I hate playing as Luke so much I'll play as Guy instead"

Lailah is a really good caster....but you need to build her in that way....just use items that stack her arte attack and fire damage...and unlock her artes early on by selecting specific titles early on...dont equip her with defensive items or items with physical attack that wont do her any good...ARte attack and arte defense thats the way to go with her...and set her tactics to range combat style and aggresive when you use her as Ai.

personally among caster i like lailah...among melee i like rose .....
and overall i like edna..she has no competition...especially if you make her wear that black costume with those devil wings :P
