I am honestly not seeing how that crucible is even remotely possible unless I come back 20 levels later, and even then I will still have a hard time dealing with the wolves, even if I can almost one shot them, because its almost impossible to get any attacks off on them.
it took me like 5-6 game over to understand a simple but yet game changing mechanic :
After 2 (don't seem with 1) Quick dash (Space+wasd) quickly cast a spell, this spell will be launch in quick cast mode (For exemple Burning strike is launched in 2.8 aproximativly seconds than 4s).
Abusing this seem to be the key to do it at normal level (without grind).
Abuse of the Double Dash+Pyrogenic Ring, weak damages, but can be litteraly spammed and time nicely when blocked in melee.
Work with imbuement for "quick" healings.
Everything is about defense and timing in this crucible.
The wolves at the end are definitely difficult. Unless you want to spam pyrogenic ring, the trick with the wolves is to group them together and try to get them to all simultaneous do their jump spin attack. If you manage to get at least 2 or 3 doing it at once, it provides you enough time for a few quick dashes back and the casting of a stronger spell. Only downside to this tactic is if you have bad timing, they'll constantly chain attacks on you, which hurts like hell. This can also be problematic if the AI doesn't cooperate (though dashing in circles around a single unit tends to reduce the likelihood of them not grouping up.
If you don't use dashes though then it's definitely a fight that seems impossible.
Happy to say I managed it on Intense difficulty too, at about level 31.
My strategy was to keep doing a triple dash back followed by Flame Vortex throughout the whole crucible until the humanoid tiger spawns with the plants. On that part, the moment one of the plants die, the wolves spawn, so here's what I did:
First, used Inbuement to give me extra Arte Attack. Then did triple dash with Flame Vortex until one (actually got both at the same time, lucky me) of the plants died.
Now here's the important part. DON'T STOP DOING THE TRIPLE DASH + FLAME VORTEX COMBO AFTER THE PLANT DIES. YOU MUST BE GETTING ANOTHER ONE READY BEFORE THE WOLVES SPAWN SO YOU CAN CAST ONE BEFORE THEY REACH YOU.
After the Flame Vortex is cast it will be there for a while and will throw enemies up, stopping them from chasing you, it's during that time that you must triple dash and get another one ready. The wolves will spawn and come chasing after you, that's why you need to already be casting a Flame Vortex before they spawn. Once they come, release the Vortex, quickly triple dash back and cast another, then release when they come again. Rinse and repeat until the wolves are dead or until you miss the combo.
But don't freak out if you do, I actually did miss when I beat it. If you miss the combo, just replace Flame Vortex for Pyrogenic Ring and keep doing the triple dash back combo. Pyrogenic Ring has an almost instant cast when you triple dash, so you will be fairly safe pushing the wolves back whenever they get close to you and will be able to deal little bits of damage while you do. The longer you managed to keep the Flame Vortex combo, the faster it will be to beat the wolves.
Now, for heals, avoid casting Inbuement when kiting the wolves because the casting time isn't very fast and it will make Lailah stop for a second while she heals, which might actually make you take more damage than you healed. Don't be afraid to use gels, but time them right or you might take some free hits, and they hurt a lot.
If you want to try using the mystic arte, it's up to you, but be really careful not to get overwhelmed by the wolves while trying to.
My Lailah is so bad... she's five levels behind everyone. I turned off her suicidal artes as AI but it is just not enough.
