graphics seem stretched thin, characters and movie/sequences seem narrow
hmm so
i run on 4:3 res of 1280x1024

in game walking around my character is really skinny, like narrow,
same with the movies and sequences for dialog, all the characters look kinda smashed together,

I dont have a widescreen monitor to test this on, but is that how it should look?
doesnt look this way on console,

any info lemme know, kinda was afraid of this.

im confused, can you post a screen shot, so I can compare,
one of the in game walking and one of any talking scene?

id appreciate it.

also any help in fixing this issue would be nice, if you need me to post a screen lemme know.

again im not sure if this is how it should look

It should not look skinny or stretched, so if it looks skinny at a 4:3 aspect ratio then it isn't attempting to maintain its native aspect ratio which would be 16:9.

Try running it in windowed mode and lower the resolution to 1280x720 once it's in windowed mode.

If that looks better, you might try putting something black behind the game so it isn't distracting on the eyes.

Not ideal, but it should help.

Let me know how it turns out after you try it.

Tried that res, in windowed, it didnt change,
tried that res in NON windowed and it fixed the odd circle issue, but now i have the terrible black bars,

I was asking if this had 4:3 support, seems it doesnt. how would I fix this, i cant play it like this, im losing visuals on both sides..

elp?

It would probably have black bars at the top and bottom. Is that not what you see?
The Nothing Man Oct 19, 2015 @ 7:43pm
yes I see black bars, i know it would have them changing the res to 16:9
however, this claims to support 4:3 res

also it cuts the sides off, even in windowed mode. (same thing happens for fairy fencer.(but that game doesnt have 4:3 res to choose

point being, this didnt fix the issue, and now i cant see things in the menu or on the sides (even on the lowest res possible for 16:9
ive tried them all,

and help or advice id appreciate it mate, i truly want to play this game,
and I cant use widescreen monitors, they give me vertigo, same as most fps games do.

so
1. yes I see black bars, as one should without a proper widescreen monitor
2. but its cutting the sides off, even in windowed mode.

3. the game claims 4:3 support.
4. the original had no issues with 4:3 support.

im confused. my friend has this on ps4, and non widescreen, it doesnt look like this on console at a standard 4:3 res. why would it on pc? (port issue)?
future fix or give up on it?

what do you think I should do matey
The Nothing Man Oct 19, 2015 @ 7:56pm
hmm yea
even on the widescreen, im getting odd gfx looks and issues,
it does look better but again most is cut off,

im confused, also the menus are fine in 4:3 res at 1280X1024 but in 1280x720 they are stretched but then the game isnt, just its tiny and again im missing lots of visuals from the game.

elps? infos?
Crache Oct 19, 2015 @ 8:02pm
Unless your monitor has some settings or unless you can find some aspect ratio adjustment stuff in your video card's control panel, you'll have to live with black bars.

In fullscreen mode, if some of the stuff is appearing off the screen then you might be able to tweak the offsets in the monitor's settings by toying with the buttons on the monitor itself.

If that doesn't work, really you should be able to run it in windowed mode at some resolution and be able to see everything just fine.

You may have to experiment more to find what is the most tolerable for you. :/
Kraust Oct 19, 2015 @ 8:03pm
1280x1024 is not 4:3, which is most likely your issue *rolls eyes*

That is what happens when you display 5:4 on a 4:3 monitor. What is this 10 years ago?

oh sorry
standard res
my monitors windows runs on 1280x1024 mate,
all games like hyerdimension series run fine on them
fairy fencer doesnt like it, samy studios IFFY

my monitor has no settings unless I smush the gfx, and i can deal with black bars, i cant deal with losing gfx/visuals on the sides
and cant handle the odd stretches in the menu that dont exist on the higher res vs the widescreen

5:4 4:3 etc both should be supported
my monitor just doesnt support 16:9
as its not widescreen but again does support 1280x1024 5:4
my bad on not wording this properly

imo its the port issue, as again my friend has this on a standard monitor (ps3 not ps4)
looks just fine

know how on ati to try to tweak the settings ?
im lost why this is doing this.
you do see the odd gfx issue where the round circle isnt round right?

it stays that way even in the windowed mode or in 720 res

calllm down, my monitor is new, 90% of dell monitors are NOT widescreen unless you opt for them outside the sold pack you want.

which is why im confused this game (as its not new) doesnt support all res)

elp mates no trolling here mr roll eyes LOL :)
was just my bad on misnomering the 4:3 vs 5:4 both are standard res thats my point :)

again windows here runs, and all but 1 other game runs fine in 1280x1024
that would be fairy fencer F (but that has no 4:3 or 5:4 supported res in their gfx options)

max res= 1280x1024
max hz=75hz
