Should i buy this? Be honest.
I've honestly been contemplating this all week, I played Tales of Xillia but honestly i didn't finish it mostly because i don't touch my PS3 barely as much as I touch my PC or PS4.

According to reviews the story and character subpar but i'm still a bit tempted to get it.

The last Tales game that really held my attention was one of the very classic ones on the SNES so ya.

It is up to you really....I recommend you to watch as many videos of Tales of Zestiria you can not just reviews but actually GAMEPLAY, Twitch can help you decide as well so you can see the live gameplay of it (hopefully it wont spoiled you lol). Also watch Tales of Symphonia videos since it is included with this pre order until tomorrow GL :D

I think that the game is underrated. And the story and characters are pretty good.

Given that you have already read/watched the reviews, I really can't make up your mind for you. This is your decision.

See, I disagree with Roy. I always find that watching as much as you can about a game makes you want it less. Why buy the game if you've already watched as much as you can of it ... spoils the fun. I much prefer to go into games blind, and then decide for myself.

In the long run, if it seems like the type of game you will enjoy it, buy it ... if you're leaning towards no, you might want to consider just waiting a while until it goes on sale, or just buy it and return it if its not what you expected.

Pick it up, get some friends together, enjoy the game

Try it. Last day for the pre-order bonus!
If bad you can always refund later.

I heard it played like Graces and that was enough for me to buy it. I wasn't a big fan of Xillia, but I'm hoping I'll enjoy this more. I recommend that you wait for the game to come out so you can get better reviews however if you're concered about the preorder bonuses you could just buy it and if you don't like it then refund it. I feel it's best to just play it yourself, you know? I know some people hate Graces, yet I really enjoyed it. Some people hate Abyss or Xillia. You never know what you may like until you try it.

I respect your point of view altho I'm not asking him to watch the whole game, just some stuff like trailers, gameplay to see how it is, that's how it works when I'm undecided to buy a game for me at least, because if I go blind and buy something right up I always end up regretting it later on :/ .
if he goes through refund policy it has to be less than 2 hours of playing (you can't tell much about the story/gameplay with that long) but it is a suggestion regardless.

Felt the same way. Liked Graces but could not get into Xillia. It really will come down to trying it yourself. Each game in the series has a different flavor.

I think i'm gonna get the game, but now i'm wonder if I should get it on GMG for $38 or here for $50

I figure the savings is money to be put towards Symphonia HD and the costumes will be DLC eventually...i hope.
Shinrin Cole Oct 18, 2015 @ 4:41pm
If you buy the game on steam right now, you get 8 costumes, some weapon skins, and Free Symphonia along with the free DLC story line and Free extra mystic art.

I see it for 49.99 altho missing Symphonia and the DLCs not worthy for 12 on savings but as I said up to you :)
