Is the Mystic Artes still a DLC?
I tried to google, couldn't find anything on the PC version. Anyone knows if we have to pay to use them this time round?

You can find all that info here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/351970/discussions/0/490121928341649052/

It's free, but you'll need to get a code from the bandai namco vip corner after the Steam version launches.

Thank you so much.

Ah. Seems there might be a misconception.

Mystic Artes aren't DLC. You can still use them. Each character, with the exception of 2, have at least 2 Mystic Artes already in-game.

There are, however, DLC Mystic Artes, which are cameo ones used by characters from past games, and they are free.

Yeah, these are cameo mystic artes, heck, they're inferior to their unique mystic artes and are there for flavor, they still have their own personal mystic artes that you don't need to download. People need to do some research and stop being a drama queen.

I assumed every Tales game has Mystic Artes of some sort, so he would have to be referring to the DLC. It is good that you emphasized that they are purely cosmetic, though, as I think people were confused about it when it originally released on the PS3 in Japan. People thought they were selling skills.

No I was refering to mystic artes being sold. If they can sell mystic artes, it won't surprise me if they start removing spells or artes which are rightfully there to sell in the next installment.
Imagine you have to buy Shoryuken or Hadoken for Ryu.

the mystic artes being sold are no more powerful than anything gotten in-game, and each character has the same number of mystic artes. this effectively means the DLC MA's are the equivalent of a costume

I presume you enjoy being robbed of a game move. Sorry I don't accept that. Name me an RPG that has moves being removed from the game.

They aren't being sold, they're free and will always be free. They aren't timed exclusive or pre-order bonuses or anything, they're just free. If you've played the previous games then you've already used these Artes before. If you optionally decide to use them, then it's purely for flavor. Not everyone would want to use older Artes in a newer game, and if they were part of the game to start with, people would just complain at Bandai Namco about cheaping out and using old Artes instead of new Artes.

Since it's a 20th anniversary release, it was important to include a bunch of optional throwbacks to older Tales titles.

Actually, without DLC,
Sorey: 2 1/2 (duo Mystic Arte)
Alisha: 1
Rose: 2 1/2 (duo Mystic Arte)
Mikleo: 2
Lailah: 2
Edna: 2
Dezel: 1
Zavied: 2

and with DLC,
Sorey: 2 1/2 (duo Mystic Arte)
Alisha: 3
Rose: 2 1/2 duo Mystic Arte)
Mikleo: 3
Lailah: 3
Edna: 2
Dezel: still 1
Zavied: 2

so no, not every character has the same amount of Mystic Artes.

Alisha,Dezel only got one, because they are not alway´s Playable.
pokenar Oct 18, 2015 @ 1:19am
sorry, let me rephrase

everyone relevant at the end of the game has the same amount of MA's
The Nothing Man Oct 18, 2015 @ 1:34am
im not sure about the codes mate,
i dont think its that, hard core, imo they will just either release it free for all,
or not at all,
as we dont have codes and sending them out has never happened before for games on pc vipcorner wise.

shrug.

The DLC mystic arts were free for 2 weeks for those that pre-ordered the console version. As you had mentioned, it was redeemable using Bandai Namco Coupon Code.
I am not the only person who is shock by the fact that Mystic Arts were sold, here's another one. Sorry that I had to share this, but it sounds ridiculous.

Which Hi-Ougis are from past games?
