Tales of Zestiria - Eizen (Edna's Brother the dragon) health doesnt completely deplete when he gets to critical health. Bugged?
I got Zaveid in party and went to the Spiritcrest summit but when Eizen gets down to critical health, he just keeps taking damage and doesnt die no matter how much I pummel on him! And to cap it all he keeps healing from time to time. Am I missing something? Is there something I maybe forgot to do before going to fight him, or maybe an item in particular that I need? Or is the battle just bugged? He seems immortal/un-killable.
I watched a youtube vid of the dragon battle, and that player actually got Edna to armatize with Sorey at some point. Is that a hack? Cos on my game Edna refuses to take part in battling her brother. Anyone who has actually beaten him plz give tips :) Much appreciated

Did Zaveid and Edna leave the party for a while just before you got to the dragon?
(not sure if you even can start the fight otherwise, but)

I don't think there was a tutorial at that point, but I'm not sure.
That tend to cause immortality..or what seems like it.

I had Edna and Zaveid in party when battle started. Edna says "You didnt tell me you were actually going to fight my brother! I am not going to help you!" and she disappears from the armatize menu.

I got Eizen down to critical health, and it wouldnt go down anymore. As if to say throw mud in my eye, the3 dragon heals himself up again and I cant to jack against him. That invincibility at low health is so annoying.

Then you're not supposed to fight him yet..so he's probably scripted immortal.

You'll know when you're good to go by talking to Rose.
If there is a line saying "I know what to do about Edna...", then you can go and fight him.

Spoilertagged just in case..
During the mid/final stretch of the mountain both Edna and Zaveid temporarily
leave the party for a slightly different (but related) reason, but they come back in time
for the fight.

Once you beat Tiamet, sleep at any inn to get a skit between Sorey and Zaveid. Then you should be able to fight him normally.

That too.. although I never noticed that skit.

It was probably around that time he really begun to realize what he had to do in some cases.

hmm do I meet Tiamat on that mountain or elsewhere? I've been up from the base of the mountain to the top and not seen it, and edna and zavied didnt leave the party. Maybe I have to have done the skits between edna and zaveid at an inn. I'll look out for the related convo with Rose too.

You meet Tiamat in Glaivend Basin during a war (yes, another one).
He's (probably) not missable as he's related to the main questline..

- Edna and Zaveid leaving isn't a skit, but a reaction to what you do..an entirely different
reaction than the one you described.
- The skit in the inn is between Sorey and Zaveid.

I have no idea where you actually are on the questline, but you'd need to have
all Lord of the Land's first, among other things.

Hmm... I *think* I have them all. I have the LotL's for Ladylake, Marlind, Lastonbell, Pendrago, Gododdin, Lohgrin. Oh I got that dog seraph too, the one in Tintagel Ruins, but am not sure if that is counted as a lord of the land tho.
Can you tell me if I missed any?

It looks good, they're all there.. (except Hexen Isle, but that one is after endgame)

Just follow the questline, and you'll eventually get to him.
Alisha is essential in that war too, not to mention her "teacher" so to speak.

yeah did all that :) completed a few rose convo-related side missions and skits and it popped up. Killed Eizen earlier! Yay!

btw, never seen hexan isle. Do I have to complete the game a few times to unlock it? Or is it reachable on first playthrough and just a case of fulfilling all the other sidequests?

You only need to beat the final boss to access Hexen Isle. Load your clear data and there will be a portal in Artorius' Throne in the room after you go up the stairs.

Nice :) However, he's sort of weak compared to assorted other bosses (although he has
some annoying moves), so you'll get more challenges.

When you eventually see an exclamation point on the bridge outside Ladylake, make sure
to save before you go there. Depending on difficulty level, that "enemy" can stun-lock
you to death. (I experienced it.. but then again I'm probably not very good at the game)

@Mihryazd answered the rest :)

thx. did the hexan challenges to completion. They said something about what we know of as malevolence seeping into hexan isle and warping things. Not sure how it all works but if we purify the monster bosses there, does it affect things back in Zestiria/Artorius throne area?

Beating Hexen Isle powers up the final boss for the current playthrough.
