weak against/no resistance against water, and primarily use spells.
This because every arrow-hit will stagger the enemy.
He may even stagger/delay bosses that do have resistance against water (using arrows, not
spells), so you can allow the rest of your chars to wittle the boss down while he keeps
him/her/it "occupied".
Zaveid seem to be the weakest when he is unarmatized and a human controls him
(at least on semi-auto).
Armatized he's slightly stronger, but don't seem to be a match for the rest.
However, Zaveid + Rose is a whole different story..They're quite strong together, as you'll
get to experience first-hand when you try to get Rose's second mystic arte.
(I'm no expert, but at least I got stun-locked by them more than once)
Somehow they smacked him silly in a few moments..and if not for the snack
I would've died already.
I used 1 anti-paralysis snack, 1 melon gel, 2 elixirs, 3 pancaea, 15 peach gels, and
12 apple gels to get through it. (3x lvl 10 normin, hard)
..which is at least 10x what I've ever used in a fight before, including the main
boss, dark turtlez, and rose+zaveid.
2 reasons:
1) ranged attack means you don't have to chase the boss and you don't have to endanger yourself
2) excellent crowd control with maelstrom help protects your stupid AI teammate.
Just armatize Mikleo with a human that has eterniti stack and spam Saint's Arrow, Blistering fangs, and Binding vortex to perma stagger the enemy.
Enemy keep ignoring you and running towards your AI teammate? Fighting against multiple strong enemies? Just use maelstrom and pull then into the center of the whirlpool and start hitting them with arrows. Maelstrom also pull enemies close together so that you can follow up with a mystic arte that kill all of them. You need double mystic (reduce casting time by 80%) in order to spam maelstrom though. Or you can just use it at the end of a combo chain to reduce casting time.
This was the strategy I used to fight a certain very annoyingly strong optional boss dark turtlez with no death on my team. That bugger keep ignoring me so I just spam maelstrom to keep him from my teammate. I didn't use any items too.
Same strategy also work against Zaveid and Rose fight . Just maelstrom them together and shoot arrows followed by Mystic Arte.
Finally, if you can get the bonus skill negate enemy's water resistance, then you can use mikleo+sorey for any boss.
Note:
1. You can get mystic by having 11 stack of the same skill or through Mikleo's joke equipment in the end game Decrepit staff which has Mystic in the first slot.
2. Eterniti is a bonus skill you can get through 16 stack of the same skill. Allows you to keep attacking until you run out of sc instead of having to stop attacking at the end of your combo chain.
managed to beat the boosted endboss yet.
Boosted boss battle comment:
Boosted boss is quite strong at lvl 194. I managed to keep him at range (Mikleo) through
the two first sections where he "only" had around 300K hitpoints and is resistant to
everything..
(he's too fond of mystic arte for my taste. He did alot of those during this)
Then he turned into the dragon version (419K) which actually is somewhat easier because
that version don't have resistances..but keeping him at range isn't really possible, and you'll
have to waste the seraphs one by one.. with almost no potions remaining after the two first battle parts.
Got that version down to about 200K..and couldn't stun him in time to stop the huge spell.
Sigh..
So insane.. If i were you I would move on to Tales of Symphonia ;-P .....
..but then again, I'm on Hard while using 3x lvl 10 normin (which I guess applies to him too),
so I guess some of it is my fault because I forgot to remove them after fighting some
of the other enemies in A.T.
I read somewhat that on normal the boosted boss is apparently stronger than the
normal boss on chaos/insane, so there's that too.
However, it IS quite frustrating.
When they make a good port of Symphonia I might try it. The current version has
apparently disappointed alot of people.
I don't know lol.. But his hp looks insane. Eh wait, what if I spam Fire armatized mystic artes non-stop using Friendly link with these 2 skill bonuses (40% to deal X4 fire dmg?) and X4 dmg on 10th hits, 20th hits, etc.. Spam like 6-7 times, what will happen XD
In the last part you could shoot/fire Lailah last to maximize the effect of those skills (iow use her to wittle him down, armatize with another and shoot, rinse and repeat), but the other
seraphs don't benefit from them. Lindwer(?) is beneficial in this part because he's a dragon.
Edit: I forgot, if you're already armatized when it tells you to armatize and shoot, then
I don't think you can change seraph (same button, LB).
Edit2: Seems like the normins don't matter in this battle. 194 with or without them.
maelstrom = kickass
400% speed up casting weapon
As for solo...there is no contest at who is the worst character...Zavveid. His solo crucible is the only time I hated the combat. I never actually used the other characters in group combat much because I just felt sorey was the best
i cant believe its been 7 years since i played that game... holy moly.
