2 Questions about Sorey

So lately i've been watching a walkthrough of Tales of Zestiria (HeroVoltsy's) and i have a few questions:

• Why didn't Sorey want Mikleo to become a Sub-Lord?
  
• Why wasn't Sorey able to remove the armatization with Lailah even though when he did it with Mikleo it came off right away?

First one would most likely be because Sorey didn't want to endanger Mikleo since when he's a Sub-Lord he could get corrupted by Sorey's actions and whatnot and Sorey didn't want that to happen.

As for the second one: It's because at the time when he armatized with Lailah he wasn't yet used to the whole shepherd powers etc. and he didn't really know much about Lailah at that point while on the other hand he grew up side by side pretty much with Mikleo. It's pretty much a matter of affinity towards the power overall and maybe a bit because of the person he armatized with.

• Because he is his friend, and didn't want to replace it with becoming someone Mikleo would be completely dependant on (literally).
  Becoming a sublord meant that he'd have to inhabit Soreys body, just like Lailah.
  Not to mention dangers and all that.
  
  
• Probably because he was able to relax/let go.
  There's a big difference between old friends and someone you've recently met afterall.Not to mention, he was probably more accustomed to his powers like Fallensoul said
