You will be able to unlock Intense and Chaos difficulties as you keep on playing and completed a certain amount of battles. They are harder than Hard.
By the way, you should go back to previous places and beat these Mutant Hellions roaming around the field. They are not tied to story so you have to beat them yourself. They give you a lot of EXP and also drop permanent "valuable/key items" that increase all your party members' Max HP.
btw grade needed ONLY for upgrading Lords of the Lands(grade shop)?
and another question, what if location were im fighting dont have lord of the land, cus im only progressing to him\story quest? grade points still counts for this location?
p.s. in tales of always so difficult with difficults modes?)
Meaning, they attack less often (because SC gauge recovery rate has been slowed down due to low max SC), they also dodge/run away much slower (often leading to suicide because they dont run away early enough). Basically, the max SC is kind of like an energy gauge which determines their "stamina" during battle. Therefore, it is recommended to maintain the max SC above 80 (The AI are still stupid sometimes, but at least it is better)
i meaned that dif modes are not basically dif modes. many different bonuses
