(Solved) Can't get the game to start.
See title.

I tried various things, I tried to;

- Install the community fix, I also tried tweaking the community fix, I tried multiple
versions of the community fix.
In version 1.8.xx the game won't even launch (main version and testing version).
In compatibility mode (1.6) the game launches in the background, but the game
won't show up on my desktop.

* The game itself (Without any fix) crashes at the introscreen.

I also tied to;

- Run the game as admin.
- Execute the commonredist packages, like directx and vcredist. (And restart my laptop)
- Run the game in compatability mode Windows 7, 8 and also tried XP.
- reïnstall the game, the game crashed again at the intro, then I installed the fix
again with the K install manager. Sadly, the game still refuses to launch.

I also tried to install the fix manually, but also this did not help, the results were
the same as installing it with the K install manager.

After all of this, I tried tweaking the game again with the tales of zestiria tweak tool. I set the game to windowed mode, set audio compatibitity to 'on', tried to set the remastered textures to the default textures instead and stuff like that. But i'm at a loss here.

Does anyone know some other tweak or fix that might help?

Specs:

Nvidia 1050
I7-7700
16 gigs RAM
Windows 10

EDIT: The game worked on my previous computer with the fix installed (If this is relevant).

My first thought would be to check and see if your GPU driver is up-to-date.

Just checked that out to be sure. Sadly it is up-to-date in this case. xD

Had the same issue, for me the following helped:
- Uninstall the previously installed comunitiy patch. (this should leave the TZT.exe in place)
- Download the 1.3.0 Version from their Github page (https://github.com/Kaldaien/TZF/releases)
- Unpack all files in the install dir of ToZ
- Start the TZT.exe and make make your configurations
- Start the game

So maybe this solves the issue but I'm not sure whether those are all steps necessary. I installed varios versions of the community patch to get it running again.
I'm not sure what broke it before. But I guess it was the Creators Update on Windows 10. This f*** broke all kind of thing for me.

Sir, thanks a LOT. Thanks to you I tried various older versions, (1.3.0 crashed for me at the ToZ logo) version 1.4.1 test 2 seems to work and now I can finally play the game again!

To anyone with a similar problem:

https://github.com/Kaldaien/TZF/releases/tag/tzf_141-test2 <---- Direct link to the 1.4.1 test 2 page

https://github.com/Kaldaien/TZF/releases/tag/tzf_130 <---- Direct link to 1.3.0

Try these older versions, it MAY help.
