Tales of Zestiria or just watch the Anime?
Honestly, the ONLY reason why i even consider playing ToZ is because i want to play Tales of Berseria like REALLY bad.
Sadly, i never managed to get into ToZ properly. I've started the game multiple times and barely got past that starting area (The Village). And when i finally did, i gave up due to extreme boredom.

Now, i under it also has an Anime?
Can i just watch the Anime instead of playing the game? Is it the same story only told slightly different?
I saw there's Tales of Zestiria the X and something called Tales of Zestiria: Doushi no Yoake?

I need clarification on that please. Help me out

Tales of Zestiria the X show all the story on the main lines (slighty different if i'm right) but beware if you watch it, you'll get spoil about Berseria (there are 2 épisodes about Velvet taking place after the intro of Berseria + revelation about her / story of the game later in the anime)

Tales of Zestiria Doushi no Yoake is a OVA about the intro of the game (Sorey's village etc...)

To be honest, you don't really need to play Zestiria before if you don't like it (you'll just miss some references between the game, they are'nt directly connected). You can just start Berseria and watch the anime later to avoid spoilers

Thank you for the informative answer. Should i deicde to go along with ToZ after all, what's the chronological order i should play/watch the games/anime?

Berseria take place in the same universe, something like 1000 years before Zestiria. Like i said before, the game aren't directly connected, you'll just miss some references (like names, places, etc...) so you can play games in any order i guess

But since you don't really like Zestiria, you can just play Berseria and watch the anime after cause of the spoilers (even if it's not that much, it's still spoil, so up to you)

It is fine to play Berseria first before you start Zestiria. Some people did that and they would find Zestiria more interesting because of the connections which they could make. If you plan to watch the anime, just treat it as a non canon storyline, there many parts were skipped or change entirely. The overall storyline is the same but the contents of the story doesn't makes much sense. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the anime as compared to the lore and world mechanics in both games. For example the fact that a dragon cannot be purified in both but somehow, it is possible in the anime.

Overall, the anime is a very huge disappointment other than the graphics. Especially Season 2, where time is wasted on Sorey being unnecessarily philosophical and keep talking about Malevolence. He is way too serious and gloomy compared to the cheerful Sorey in the game. Also, where's the action?! plz no more talking.

I heard the manga adaptation is much better as it stays faithful to the game's lore, while expanding on what the game lacked.

If you do want to start Zestiria first, just an advice from me. Don't need to care about the skill chart at all, how it actually works isn't too complicated but it does feels complicated at first glance. But still, you can if ignore it because you will eventually switch to stronger equipments when you get them during your playthrough. You only need focus on raising the basic stats on the equipments, like the Attack/Defense stats by fusing equipments with the same name. Side note, the "focus" stat affect SC regeneration rate and also slightly increases the probability to deal status ailments or stun to enemies.

Zestiria's is kind of slow at the very beginnings so you need to be patient despite the "boredom" if you want to continue the game. To be honest, most tales games starts slow. The game gets much more interesting afterwards but don't expect any mind blowing contents. By the way, Doushi no Yoake was just a promotional CD which was released during game release. It only shows the beginning about Sorey meeting Alisha and the village and stuffs and that's all.

I would rather suggest someone to watch a let's play of the game rather than the anime.

The events of Talesofberseria take place before Tales of Zestiria, Arthurius kills Lapiceta by sacrificing him. Then Velvet is killing Artorius. And after the event and about Sorei translation through a translator from Russian.

Просто видно не твое это. Есть игры где скилл решает и игры где решает мозг.
