Does the DLC affect achievements?
Hello! Recently bought Tales of Zestiria and looking to get full achievements for the game no matter how long it takes, absolutely in love with the game so far and having a ton of fun with it. When I bought the game I got the God Eater outfit, Free Skits & Mystic Artes. I am wondering if I won't get certain achievements if I use any of them. Thanks in advance.

No. There is no DLC affecting achievement. But there is only special DLC which is affect it. which is the Alisha extra chapter DLC. The content of the DLC isnt really worth the price IMO, but there something like 2-3 achievement only obtainable through it.

Okay that really helps me there, even if it seems expensive I will probably still buy it for the achievements when I'm at the point to play it xd (Rip wallet).

Got another question if you are able to answer it. Are there any achievements which portrays to battle difficulty? Wondering if I should increase it, but not sure if it affects any achievements when changing the difficulty for battles if there are any achievements at all for it. Thanks for a reply in advance.

Yes. there are. Most of the boss needs you to play on Hard or higher difficulty and do not use any item to finish and the boss fight. (You can adjust difficulty in game whenever you like) Even if you miss or didnt get the achievement you want, or the fights are too tough for you, you can always do them in NG+

What achievements are you talking about? The ones that are only obtainable through Alisha's Extra Chapter DLC? So instead of it affecting 2-3 achievements like Simon said, it affects more?

Alright thanks for the info, looks like I will focus on the drops around the maps/skits etc and worry about the bosses when I up the ante(difficulty) in other playthroughs I will do. Again, thanks for the help. :NorminGreen::NorminBlue::NorminBlack::NorminOrange:

Looks like I counted wrongly. The Alisha DLC has 6 achievements. not just 2-3. Basically, the 6 are gotten through the DLC. it doesnt affect any other parts of the game.

Are there any achievements that are strictly for each difficulty? For example "Finish the game on Hard", "Finish the game on Normal". Or do the difficulty achievements just include the battle difficulty when fighting bosses, such as "Fight boss on 2nd playthrough or Hard difficulty without using any Items". Thanks for a reply in advance.

Yes. You have to fight most of the story boss on at least hard + not using any items to get the achievement. If you missed it or if you think the boss is too difficult, you can instead do NG+ and there will not be any difficulty restrictions.

As for finish the game on Normal, finish the game on Hard etc. Actually, you can load back the save file and challenge the boss again on other difficulty even if you finished the game. You can do this countless times, and do all the sidequests that are opened up after you defeated the final boss. There is also a bonus dungeon that you can access after you load back your completed save file.

BTW, if you for example defeat the final boss on hard, you will automatically get the achievement for finishing the game in normal and finishing the game in moderate.
