Core gameplay systems

In this demo, you will experience Nemorsys’ core mechanic: The in-game shadow and light is the source of all your powers .

Abilities

You will have access to 6 out of 25 total in-game skills, all influenced by the Light and Shadow system.
This allows experimentation with different combat and traversal approaches depending on your form.

Form

Players must adapt their form to match the environment in order to optimize their powers:

Shadow Form (Nemorsys)

Stealth-based movement
Safer navigation through enemies field of view
Powerfull Back Stab (X4)
Your abilities (5 in the demo) are tied to the in-game darkness and lower your light points.
kills grant a short dash ability

Light Form (Kaelara)

Don't trigger the wisp wrath (Enables safer traversal in light-controlled areas)
Your abilities (1 in the demo) are tied to the in-gamelight and increase you light points.

Tactical combat system

Combat is built around stealth, positioning, and ability synergy. Frontal assaults are highly dangerous, so timing and awareness are essential.

Corruption

If your Light energy reaches 0, Kaelara’s Light form is permanently lost to the darkness.

While your Light is below 60 points, you cannot cast Light-based spells.

If it reaches 0:

Kaelara permanently loses all Light abilities
Her appearance changes

Objective

The demo begins in the middle of Level 03, set in a dense forest biome surrounding a guarded encampment. Fight your way through the forest, infiltrate the camp, and attempt to defeat the hand of the king boss encounter.

Playtime

The demo takes approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on playstyle, exploration, and mastery of mechanics.

How do I change the game's text to PT-BR? There are a lot of things I don't understand in the game. Every time I start, there is a range of different skills to choose from, it's not standard. It seems to always be the same map, but the puzzles aren't intuitive, it takes a long time to figure out what to do, and many times you end up being massacred multiple times trying without success. The combat is focused on stealth, but the continuous respawning of rats ends up creating a horde that's impossible ...

Gameplay Adjustments

Blinding Light now has a minimum range and minimum power (no longer drops to 0).
The Nemorsys now starts with Shadowform at Normal difficulty.
Shadowform color updated to purple for better visual clarity.
Blue Orbs now explode while in shadow
Characters now drop Shards of Hatred upon death, which restore health and convert to XP when your health is full.

User Interface & UX

Added a clue message in the tutorial if the player remains stuck too long at the plank‑placement step.
All upgrade buttons now blink to encourage players to select available upgrades.
Key icons have been redone and properly centered for consistent alignment.
Control‑remapping UI now works correctly in the main menu.
Control‑remapping settings are now properly clamped, preventing scrolling into empty space and ensuring the menu always starts at the top.
Field of view indicators no longer disable when opening UI windows (fixed stencil mask issue).
Added a new tooltip system that explains why a spell cannot be cast when conditions are not met.
Fixed the character preview visual glitch when respawning using a Shadow Essence.
Fixed an issue where the prologue text scrolled too fast compared to the narration.

AI & Enemies

Fixed a bug where guard patrol toggles did not function correctly.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the player could close the Skill Choice screen with Escape.
Multiple typos corrected based on playtester feedback.
Various UI mask and stencil issues resolved.
