Relationships role in this game?

Hello,
I was just wondering how big of a part relationships (like bf and gf) play in this game.
I saw in the trailer it looked like 2 characters were close to kissing. I was wondering if that was a big theme, or just something small.
Also, if it is a big theme, are there any guys or would every relationship be lesbian?

Just curious to know :)

When you set up your party you can place 4 characters in the front row and 4 in the back row so everyone is paired up. Paired characters will have their relationship level grow the more they fight together. Characters in the back row will grant passive bonuses to characters in the front row with more bonuses being awarded the deeper the relationship between the two characters is. There are no guys; everyone is gay.

There aren't really any relationship roles, per say. Rather just yuri undertones where they just tease and embaress each other (namely neptune and noire). But yeah, as far as I know, there aren't any absolute relationships that don't go past friend or sister. Think of it like re;birth 1, just a different story and a few new things here and there.

I haven't actually played Rebirth 1, and people are saying that isn't necessary for this game.
From the kissing image that people seem to post, that seems a little more than 'friends'?
Or is that vague on being one way?

Well, Neptunia is well know for the yuriness.
And the whole LILY system that manage the relationships between the (always female) characters... LILY means yuri. And that's like the symbol for lesbians in Japanese manga and anime. The devs were not very subtle in the naming.

And, let's be honests, Vert in Re;Birth 1 and the anime at least is a raging lesbian. Then you have lots of tease and subtext between Nep and Noire and another couples.

Vert just likes cute things. IF is cute.
The community just likes to pair them all with one another, especially nep and noire.
A lot of it is skinship. It's not like they say "hey let's get together and make out and stuff". Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Link to which trailer plox. Also, yeah you don't need to play the first game if you don't want to- you do kind of get the gist of their personalities more if their personalities stay the similar in the second game. Supposedly Re;Birth 1 is pretty much standalone and Re;Birth 2 and 3 are somewhat linked- last I heard.

Which trailer? NVM found what you were talking about. I wouldn't know about that part, or if it's even in the game in the first place. IF and Nepgear probably wouldn't do that unless one of them got drunk or something. IF is a pretty competent supporting character and nepgear is a competent character in general. The fact that you spotted that lmao... but yeah, I went through the first game- and none of the characters really get into any relationships officially. The community does like to pair them outside of such though.
