To be more specific, it's directional movement via keypad. 8 = forward, 2 = backward, 4 and 6 turn left and right respectively 90 degrees. There is an option to change it to a more traditional up down, left, right movement, but I would suggest against using it as it makes lines of sight rather complicated.
