Accessability: Keyboard with no numpad
Hello, I have a laptop that does not have a number pad, is the movement of the game smooth enough without one? I've tried playing once or twice before without a numpad, it was different. My main concern would be using the wasd keys to turn my character, does that pass a turn in-game? I worry hunting would be more of a challenge if I can't orient my character correctly.

Thanks in advance.

I also have a keyboard with no number pad and never had an issue playing this game. Alternatively, you can also purchase the mobile phone controller for the game, which I like a lot when I'm playing on my steam deck

You can use the arrow keys. The main issue is that you lose some of the extra keys from keypad (e.g. 180 degree turn). I don't think there is option to reconfigure the keys the game uses, but you could use programming software to bind those functions to other keys. You could also buy separate USB numpad.

(Edit) Turning your character with the default movement style does pass a turn. I don't have any issues hunting and I never use the traditional movement, though the default heading based movement works better with those additional movement commands you get from 1, 3, 7 and 9 on numpad.
