How to Remove Dead Crops
So I had a crop of turnips wither and die on me - guess i didn't have the planting season planned properly.

How do you remove the withered plants? Do I have to burn the field again?

Burning the field should give you the added bonus of giving you good soil for the next attempt!

Normally there's no need to remove them - winter will take care of it for you. With some crops, like peas, you might even still see some of them spring up next year in the same spot!
