Adventurer's Woodsman's Axe - where's the loot?

So I've received this quest a few times and finally recovered the axe as I could never find the other camps previously(!). Great!

Upon successful completion, I was told "There's a treasure on a cliff in the southern Driik at the region called Rumalaaja "Uglywide". It is hidden somewhere around there, within a deep chasm in the cliff. They say there is a casual wealth of reemilais origin to be found. I wish you all the luck finding it!"

I've spent more time combing those cliffs than building my cabin! I have dug holes in "ground" spots on the cliff base rock, I've examined(F3) trying to find terrain called "chasm"(there is "crag", "base rock", and "ground", for example).

Anyone have an example of what a chasm in the game may look like? Is there a special action I need to perform to uncover a hidden cache, like digging a hole for example?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

For me that chasm was just a decline in height on a 1x1 square. I guess I was lucky to appear near it when I pressed Enter.

Found it in a 3 x 1 trench, 6 sides steep climbs and 2 at normal elevation. Didn't require any tool to access, was just a pile of stuff laying on the ground though there was a stone in one of the other squares. I went back to the region to look at the 1x1 squares as I wasn't sure I had looked into them all - I really assumed that it would have to be dug up so I stopped looking at "base rock" terrain and was looking for the areas of "ground" mixed into the base rock. There are holes all over those cliffs now...

For the record, it contained 4 superior bear fur, 4 superior beaver fur, 4 superior arctic fox fur, 1 silver sun amulet, 2 masterwork leather boots and 2 masterwork nettle pants. Not bad haul!

Thanks for the reply, too! I wouldn't have gone back down there to search the region without some new information to help me out!

You know what....now I think I didn't get all my loot back there. It was like 3-4 furs and a couple of masterwork clothes in 1 pile.
