still left wanting more sigh......
just a random late night rant on something that probobly wont get any responses lmao. I played this game years ago really loved it still do. didnt even finish the mobile sequel was incredibly boring and stopped after like an two hours and just looked up the ending on youtube. i know the developer wanted to do something different but sucks they went that route. wish we could have had something better even if it was just the same type of game but better graphics would have been fine with me, i also loved the music of the first game and didnt care for any of the second, it just didnt feel like anything of what made the original game awsome was their imo. i also really wish we could get like a comic/manga or anime adaptation but thats a stupid pipe dream that will never happen lmao either way im just incredibly dissapointed things turned out this way the fact that theres nothing more to enjoy of eternal senia thought about replaying it but once u know the story not as intresting to play anymore since the gameplay is basic ok random late night rant over if anyone for whatever reason has any info on anything new releasing which i doubt please lmk.

Have you played Ys? Specifically 1 and 2...those are the games this developer was trying to copy, and yeah I agree it sucks we never got more Senia stuff but at least there are games like it...

Also highly reccomend Xanadu Next, the screenshots are deceiving, its very much Diablo meets Zelda, and every piece of gear gets you a new skill after you use it for a while so its alot of fun to try and find and collect them all to unlock every single skill.

Iv never heard of ys or xanadu next, ill have to check them out thanks for the reccomendations. I doubt their are many games that are close to what i want though when it comes to senia like games. Due to the fact that i loved eternal senia for its story and music more than anything else but maybe theres something out their, regardless i wish the developer would atleast say if hes done with the series or not so the future isnt left with questions of if their will be more. hell a remaster of eternal senia would be good enough for me.

Otomon I also have Y's 1 and 2 on steam and xandu next, xandu next was particularly good and I played it to the end. Beat the first Y's but the 2nd one I must say is a lot more confusing and difficult to me. Not saying that's a bad thing especially for the time it came out. Y's 2 added a lot that kinda makes it a little hard to figure out what you're doing but I plan on revisiting Y's 2 eventually.

Even tho the developer was influenced by Y's 1/2 I kinda liked Senia more. I really wish they'd remaster the first one and get some people behind it. Give it achievements and some extra stuff. The cell phone game was bad I downloaded it just for the hell of it, and its just clicker crap. This game was fun cause it was like Y's but less open ended and confusing and focused more on a story, narration, and an rpg battle system that was fun and addictive. unfortunately its to short. It has a pretty sad ending if you choose to keep fighting but kind of just as sad if you choose to leave unless there was some kind of closure which we never really got and I wasn't interested in the cellphone game. Felt a little odd introducing all these new characters and then blah blah start the auto clicking. No thanks but maybe I'll check the cellphone game out again sometime.

For a game to be influenced by Y's and actually turn out to be just as good as one of the first major rpgs is pretty impressive. As many players that liked the original and wanted more of it you would think they would remaster it, add a price tag, like 10$.. Some new options, and content, and make some money off a real game and not transactions that most people won't buy. It was surprisingly good for a free steam rpg and one of my fav free to play games on steam. But its a very brief and short game that could be a lot longer, and be part of a series with the same actual gameplay it was doing in the first place. Never understood the idea of, if its not broke, fix it anyway.

I would honestly recommend xanadu next before Y's. Mainly cause xanadu is a really fun game that is easy to play and learn. Both Y's games are very confusing altho they play with the same basic idea as senia, walk into an enemy and auto attack, there's a lot of other stuff about Y's that is very confusing and difficult. I remember some of the bosses and levels in senia were challenging but were fun to play and not to frustrating. Y's can be a very difficult game.

As far as any rpg like this, I dunno man this was pretty unique and dramatic and Y's is well a bit macho with the focus on the whole series being one guy named adol who is a knight/fighter type who girls run to and throw themselves in his arms. Like link but with more emphasis on being a man and less on arrows and bombs and stuff.
Its pretty niche but then it came out in the 80s. Xanadu is also similar another knight guy fighting for the love of girls. You may actually be more interested in Valkyrie profile starting on PSX. Valk profile is a highly dramatic game with lots of playable females and males, but the storyline is more focused on the females and men are kinda secondary. Its not the same gameplay as senia its more action turn based but the storyline, cutscenes, and art remind me a lot of senia.
