Unable to run or glide

I've gotten to a point where I have to run or glide past some gas, but pressing or holding spacebar doesn't seem to work. I read that pirated versions of this game won't let you glide, but I had purchased it through steam. Anyone else have this issue?

Where are you in the game, which building and objective? If you're in Medical / Patient Observation, did you Batarang all 3 ventilation control panels? If you're jumping from platform to platform to avoid the gas, be advised that there isn't much space to run or glide to in this room until the gas is cleared.

Thats the point I'm at and I know what I have to do. But I can't run or glide to be able to get to the next platform after hitting the first vent control panel, pressing spacebar to do so does nothing and I checked that its bound to the key. Glitch of some sort?

Have you tried using the line launcher? I seem to remember I had the same issues, and had to think around it.

Wish there was a run/walk toggle for when you backtracking through cleared areas..

Icekooldutton, too early in the game. This is his first Medical incursion, no Line Launcher yet.

Entropyle, if you beat Bane then you got past the gas in Medical. What was your solution?

Medical part with Aaron cash, you need to cut the rope and let the thug fell thru the broken ceiling, then you can throw a batarang on the panel.

He made it past Medical, but he referred to an earlier spot in the same room, getting to the 2nd platform after triggering the first vent control. He wasn't up to the dangling thug yet.
