I just stopped playing the game. Doesn't seem hardware related, as I'm on a completely new build 2 years later and still have the issue when I tried to play it last. I tried compatibility mode all the way back to Windows 7, driver updates, uninstall/reinstall, installed to a different SSD in my system. I hope you can find a solution though.
