Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves

What to pull, what to build~
So, I'm relatively new. I already has my team based on Pheobe and don't really want to change anything.
There is no element resistance on enemies, so I don't have to build second (or third) party for that.
The question is: What instrument may I need to build for future? Is there something "must have" or should I just pull Pheobe until C6 and wait for some waifu?

Element resistance on the overworld is negligible, but if you want to clear end game content (WhiWa or ToA), you might want to start building another dps with a different element. I usually pull and build 1 dps for each element and build at least 3 supports to 70 or 80. Sub dps characters are negligible unless you're having a hard time getting good stats on your dps. Getting a sub dps or a fitting support for buffs are the easiest way to deal more damage instead of grinding for good stats imo.

If you're just in it for the overworld challenges and story, I don't think you would need my advice above and just C6 Phoebe until you found a new waifu I guess.

I mean, if you don't like to play any other upcoming character. Then it is fine to pull C6 in the meantime if you have the resources to.

I am also waiting for future release. In my opinion, there isn't something that you must have in this game.

But as a newbie, you would want at least 3 different main DPS team so you can clear end game events.

2nd DPS, I would suggest Carlotta because she is easy to play and work with many line up.

Support you can just hug Verina and Shorekeeper forever and be fine.

Final DPS, I would recommend using Rover Havoc if you want to save resources. If not, then might want to wait a little to see if there are anything you fancy in upcoming patches.

Like Cyberpunk Collab in 2026 for example.

pick who you like to play as then build your team around that. Pulling copies is less useful then collecting characters and their weapon. Only reason to really go for copies is when it changes the character in some form not just a damage increase.
Virtually no character that isn't a 4* needs their S6 for anything but to flex. The S1, or the S2 at their latest are either or both the most impactful bonuses for dupes, since they typicaly add a layer of gameplay consistency or give them access to something that their kit might be lacking. If you absolutely want to S6 Phoebe I won't stop you, but by that same logic it's potential 6 S0 limiteds you could get otherwise for large roster diversity, or 2-3 limiteds if you only focus on the most essential sequences.

That's a rich plan. Then I'll see what I like and choose one or two dps on top of what I have.

It's not like I don't like them. I just like Pheobe and for now don't see a reason for having someone else. That's where the question comes from.

C6 Pheobe in this case is a plan just because I don't see any other target. Okay, I'll stick with pulling characters first.

Thanks for answers

Actually pulling for C6 is the most costly thing in this game. Getting C6 would be the same as getting 6 other Character for the same value.
