From known leaks - she's actually gonna be super f2p friendly, due to being powerful enough to clear everything without dedicated support aka Ciaccona. Aero Rover with free 5star quest sword from 2.2 would be enough. Some ytbers speculation is that's the reason why Kuro puts a cart before the horse - support before dps. Cause once Carthethiya's kit is out, nobody will pull for Ciaccona, exept ppl who want her for... other reasons.
But again, its just leaks and speculations, maybe the'll nerf her the hell out before release, to the point she wont be able to kill a random mob in open world without Aero Rover and Ciaccona's full buffs. )
Personally, im going to wait for Carthethiya and once she is out, IF she really needs Ciaccona, ill just pull for her in rerun.

To me, Wuwa always lacked the face of the game type of character.
Like Genshin has Raiden Shogun, like ZZZ has Miyabi, like HSR has Acheron. For those characters, their numbers speak for themselves.

I saw Cartethiya for the first time in Wuwas story and then the Fleurdelys boss fight and I thought that this might be it, especially with the hype that 2.2 story has built up for her.
Today's gameplay reveal only confirms it, Cartethiya will be the LeBron James, the Christiano Ronaldo of Wuthering Waves.

I just started playing recently and I was gonna save for Changli, but then I seen Cartethiya and I'm hyped for her as well. What do I do?

That would be Yangyang (she was way more likeable and important for the story, in the beta) ... at least it was before they gutted the beta story in favor of that incoherent abomination of a story we got on 1.0 (release).

It depends which version we will get.

It's both versions of her. She transforms during her Ultimate/Liberation like Zani.

so far peebs can apply frazzle and aerover can commvert it to aero erosion, that is quite f2p friendly, but i hope she's able to do more on her own.
