If you dont care about the story and you play only because the combat is PEAK there is a SKIP button un 98% of the cutscenes. There are even mini "sum-up" of what you are skipping if you want.
I personally really care about stories so i won't skip anything, unless it's side quests idc about.
WuWa clearly is not the type of game I would play for hours daily like I did with RDR2 and TLOU. The moment I finish the new patch, I just login for 5 minutes for the dailies/weeklies and move on with my day.
For anyone getting into the game, be aware that anything pre Rinascita (the 2.0 area) is very hit or miss. It feels like a trial run.
Once you get to Rinascita, the game suddenly transforms into an entirely different experience. The story pacing is way better, the voice acting feels alive, the area visuals skyrocket, the music... All of it just jumps up in quality. I was ready to drop the game before, but this arc completely changed my mind.
The latest story segment (2.2) has arguably some of the best done moments in any video game. Many have said the cutscenes almost feel like they're watching a high-budget anime.
This might just be personal opinion, though. The premise is what you'd expect from a gacha, but for me, it's those key story moments that leave an impact (rather than the overarching plot).
Blackshores had a very somber feeling compared to Rinascita but there was some really excelent story telling,Was a lot of important character development for main character.the area design feels quite unique with some very well designed albeit frustrating mini bosses not to mention the incredible music.
Camellyas i feel could have been longer,It also left me with more questions than answers about what went on with rover at the blackshores in his past.I still think it was well written though.
To be honest i hope they do cover more lore about the blackshores in future content,
I feel there is still a lot of lore potential with it.
true, but with pity it's easy to calculate.
you'll be able to get roughly one 5* each patch without paying if you're lucky (more consistent with pass+BP), which might be the one you want or not. which means if you really want a specific character, you need to save (or pay).
otoh you don't really need every character, nor much afterwards (weapon or resonance chains).
