First Demo Content Update!

Thanks to all who have played the game! It is greatly appreciated!

Here is what's new!

This is not a massive update but it adds a few quality of life updates that will greatly improve the game.

Explosions now look and sound different.

I have updated the explosions that are caused by the player too look better. What it is supposed to look like is a hot sauce pack expanding then exploding. This causes a lot of hot sauce to run down the back of the burrito. I made a few post on Reddit and asked some friends and I ended up with this. I think it is better than before but I am still open to feedback! I also changed the sound to fit the new animation better. It was a struggle to get it to sound right but I think it ended up decent.

New pause menu.

A pause menu has been requested a lot sense the start of development. I finally got around to adding on and I think it looks pretty good. You can change the master and music volume and exit to the main menu. But remember if you exit you lose everything.

What is currently in development!

I have made a lot of progress on development since the last update. Here are a couple sneak peeks that I can show you.

Sauce splash

This upgrade shoot a splash of sauce out both sides of the player. This will destroy everything in its path. But you must remember that if you hit something bad it affects you the same is if you dug it yourself. This is a super fun upgrade and is almost done being developed. I need to do a couple balancing this and change the UI a but then it will be done and ready for the full game.

The shield upgrade

This is still in early development but I have all the visuals done for it.

Dig Dig Burrito Demo Now Available!

After a very successful playtest I am finally able to release the first demo! I added some new content and other features. I would love some feedback on what you think about!

The Big Announcement

Today you can get a demo of the game and play through it. I added a new burrito type which I'll talk about later, and updated the main menu to show all the upgrades that will be added in the future. This demo is up on its own page so you can leave reviews and see more accurate description of what is in the demo.

The New Burrito type

The Blindness Burrito is a medium difficulty burrito. When you are in the blindness burrito you can only see a 9X9 ariea. This makes it hard to see any dangers outside your vision. You must be careful not to blow something up that you can't see and have it fall on your head. Or accidently blow up some rotten tomatoes and lose all your health. You must be careful in this burrito. I will be adding a lot more burritos but this is what i currently have developed.

New Main Menu Design

The new main menu will show you all the upgrades and powerup's that will be added in the full game. I may add more upgrades and powerups in the future but im now 100% sure I will yet. If you want to see what they all do download the demo and click the question mark at the top right of every upgrade/powerup.

Dig Dig Burrito Playtest Now Available!

After a year and a half of developing Dig Dig Burrito, I am finally able to release the first public playtest! I would love some feedback on what you think about!

The Big Announcement

Starting today I'm hosting the first public playtest. I still have a few months before I can fully release the game. But I have enough now to get a good quality playtest out there. I plan on adding a LOT more stuff to the game. Here is a list of things I will be adding. I'll be adding lots more unique burritos, More upgrades ranging from, More explosives when starting, checkpoints so you can start deeper in the burritos, Bigger explosions, New bugs, and more!

What To Expect From the Playtest

In this playtest you can play and experience the base game. You will start in the tutorial and learn all the mechanics of the game. Then you will go to the main menu and start your first playthrough from there. You will have 3 upgrades to choose from. There is 6 different unique burritos you can go through. Or you could just go through the basic burritos that slowly gain diffactly. There should be about 1 hour to 2 hours of gameplay.
