The final part at the temple was also very silly, it felt like they just was trying to make the case a bit longer by bringing some "myst" light puzzles.
That holmes was knowing the truth about what was happening at the expedition to albeit, was almost feeling like science fiction:)
2- no idea about the statue, also the little midget dude who killed the victim looks small and weak af, i dont know how he was able to throw a spear when the person who did was supposedly strong
case would have made 10x more sense if that factory owner was an accomplice
Well, they talked about how the inside of the model was extremely detailed. I think the Temple level acts as both an excuse to throw puzzles in (which I found enjoyable), but also to lead the player into the conclusion that Albeit was responsible (playing onto the idea that he wanted revenge) as your imagination shows you that they did indeed enter the temple and that was the reason for Albiet losing his arm.
I also suspect that the temple was so detailed on the inside so that Albiet's kid (his actual kid, not the actor) would later find the model and use it to navigate the temple for riches.
The "attack" on Albeit is fake. Albeit and accomplice attack Holmes and Watson, and once Holmes is too close Albeit hides and tiny human flees, so Albeit makes up the story that he got attacked.
Only question that is unanswered is how he got the statue off in the first place. I suppose midget arrived there prior to the murder with some tools to remove it. Charles and victim had a planned meeting so early, so they probably slept before, so there was time to do that.
What i could imagine as well is that the statue was spear-throwing manipulated, so all midget had to do was running away after the mechanics did their job. But i think you would not get the right conclusion once you said "The statue was not an automaton". Whatever.
I don't find it plausible that a midget could move that automaton device around with such agility and speed. He should have been caught on the scene back when he used automaton to try and kill Sherlock Holmes or at least abandon his automaton there.
I understand the automaton thing is a red herring, but it's WAAAY too specific to be a red
herring. The guy just HAPPENS to build automatons that are identical to the Mayan statue, and this was UNKOWN to Charles? And they DO throw spears really well, such as at Holmes' head? In a world where, as Indiana Holmes just saw in the temple, elaborate mechanical contraptions are totally feasible? All this was a coincidence?
MOTIVE:
-Albeit wants revenge on the club but more proticularly on Zacharias because he is the one that grabbed the treasure which lead to Albeit getting trapped in The pyramid.
THE MURDER WEAPON:
-Albeit and the pigmy work togather to stroke Marley's fear of the curse. Till he believes that he is the chosen one and must help or be cursed. They bring him one of the statues from Albeits collection and have him build a mechanical replica of the statue that the pigmy can operate and get it placed in the courtyard. But there is still one problem....the pigmy can't see while in the statue.
THE MURDER / EVENTS:
-Albeit puts out leaves on the ground so the pigmy can HEAR when Zacharias walks into the right spot to fire. After shooting Zacharias with the spear the pigmy drags the statue to, and then over the wall. Leaving behind metal scraps on the path and braking the branch because of the added weight of the statue.
-Sir Charles comes out and sees the statue missing and a spear in Zacharias and lies about seeing the statue running. He lies partly because it seems obvious since the statue is gone and partly because he knows a better story could help his political career/club.
-The pigmy takes the statue back to Marley's shop and hides in the office when sherlock comes asking question, and leaves the statue there. Later its found by sherlock and Watson.
-When sherlock and Watson find Albeit at the hospital he panics and rushes back to his apartment and starts trying to throw them off by acting like he's been attacked. He knows that he won't be suspected of throwing the spear because he doesn't have a right arm but the pigmy would be. And since we see that a statue is missing it adds to the idea that a curse is attacking them.
CONCLUSION:
-The case gives all these details but doesn't connect them directly. I would of preferred it if they did but all in all I think it makes sense. :)
Please let me know if I missed anything!
